This book reads like a high school research project. While reading it, it felt like the author was lecturing the reader into what MUST be done or what should NEVER be done. I was hoping to read a book I could recommend to someone wanting to get a quick and easy introduction into golf rules and etiquette, instead I read a book that I would strongly recommend against reading.

The book had many simple typos, put instead of putt, nd instead of and, etc. It had quite a few inconsistencies or contradictions. The first section stating that you couldn't play unless you had a collard shirt, and then going on later to say attire has been laxed a lot over the years.

The book states you need to stay off the tee box when playing with other players and do not stand behind a player when teeing off. Through multiple tournaments and casual play, this is completely dependent on the hitter. A lot of the etiquette rules provided in this book are extremely dependent upon whom you are playing with and the level at which you're playing.

For a book copyrighted in 2023, there is a lot of outdated information relating to attire, etiquette, cost of equipment and even rules. Including the names and types of tee boxes and flag rules.

The drills section of this book should have images to help show the reader how their body should be held or what exactly the drills are meant to look like. A lot of people are visual learners and just describing how to hold the club or what the drill is, will confuse a new reader who's never held a club before.

Overall, this book needs a lot of work before I'd recommend it to a new golfer.
