This is a bit of a placeholder review as a note to self that I did read it today (or, TECHNICALLY yesterday, but it's still "today" if I haven't gone to sleep yet!). I can't accurately review what I thought about it, because I've honestly forgotten what happened earlier, so it's as though I've picked up this series for the first time, starting for some reason with Book 8.

This is why I want to sit down with the series later, once it's finished, so I can binge re-read the whole thing in one go. (The light novel means that might be a bit longer of a wait than I initially expected, though...)

Four stars because clearly the story hasn't so captured my heart that I remember everything that happens in it, but what happens DOES seem to be decent, so benefit of the doubt kind of thing.

At least in the future, I'll have a record of everything I read in a series, now that I have a Goodreads account! :D

Edit: Apparently only the Kindle edition is on here at the moment! I have the paperback, for the record.
