A great story and cast of characters, this debut book had me on the edge of my seat!
Deb has always seen ghosts and can talk to them (think The Ghost Whisperer). And when she discovers a crime scene, she turns in photos to the police thinking that’s safe and she won’t get in the middle of it (again). But that’s exactly where she ends up, in the middle of it.
We join Deb and her friends, especially her witchy girlfriend Maddy, in solving this mystery when things turn very dangerous as secrets are unlocked.
While the writing could be polished a bit, if you overlook that, it’s an amazing read. The characters are interesting, and the ending doesn’t go where you think. I thought I had it all tied together and knew what happened— but I was wrong! I was a little right, but there was so much more.
I look forward to reading the next two books in the series and see Deb and Maddy grow into their talents.
