Despite Lillie’s bequeathment giving Julie options she had never imagined she’d have, Julie knows it’s time to move on.
The assassination attempts on the heirs keep coming, and completing her military training puts Julie in the position to do more to protect the people she cares about.
Learning to fight and shoot is only one aspect of Julie’s education. Her connection to the Lords of the Deep grows as she begins her mentoring with the Augury.

I love animals, especially my two even if they do create havoc in my daily life. I have a cat, named Snowstorm, Storm for short. Then I have a rescue, Josephine. She's a Labradoodle - I think. It's hard to say but it's the best I can come up with.

I'm already working on the next book in the series - was working on it before Bad Attitude came back from editing. And now that it has released, need to stay on track with A Bit Aggressive.

This is an addicting series
Where to start with what is great about this series? Surprise teenaged Latina heroine? Check! Smart and sassy female characters all over the place? Check! Ancient, powerful wizard currently appearing as a magical artifact full of snark? Double check! Add in a royal prince as the very best kind of boyfriend a heroic do-gooder can possibly have, excellent friends, respectful nods to beloved fairy tales and, maybe, ancient aliens theory. Then top it off with a magical Ford Muscle car with emotions! What have you got? A set of books I can’t stop reading. Michael Anderle’s name on a book guarantees my interest, and now Renee Jagger will be on my favorites list as well. Note to authors, since Julie wasn’t recognized as the heir to the throne by the end of book eight, could you please settle that by book twelve? There needs to be some story left for the beginning of Julie and Taylor’s rule, the healing of the once and future king, and the full restoration on DUMB LE Dork. I would read a story about the restored Hat and Vivienne/Nimue’s date and reconciliation too. Love you guys!!

Different Job, Same Stuff

Trying to keep her thunder rolling, makes Julie actively reach for better ways to help. Learning she was a Lunar Fae changeling was just the tip of the iceberg; bonding with a dragon egg is leading to the depths.
Everyone of any age knows a lot about the possibilities of Julie, and most are keeping mum about it. At least they are trying to guide and not stifle her, and let her make her own life choices.
But her connection to the egg, affects them both, symbiotically; the egg doubles in size every time Julie masters a new skill or experiences a surge of demand. And, because her race has been hunted almost to extinction, Julie has to trust a plethora of mentors.

Story continues
The story of Julie continues, as does her military career. Seems like the military parts are written by someone who had no practical experience with it, but has had it explained by someone who had. Not bad, but not exactly correct. Also annoying to hear how "Special Forces" are being used for "ordinary" battles alongside "ordinary" troops. Otherwise entertaining story with a varied cast and diverse sets of opponents and side stories

Excellent book, character development and story.
I now need to buy the next book 'cos I need to know what happens next! The characters have developed since book one, the story has kept me interested for the whole of the series and this book ended on a cliffhanger, so I now need the next book!

AMAZING!!
Can not wait to see what happens next. Expect the unexpected. With out giving to much away, prepare for a roller coaster ride of emotions. This series is way better than I had expected and ranks very high in my list of recommended reads right beside the Hobbit and the Lord if the Rings.

It was really long
and repetitive but still exciting, I think this could have been shortened or combined into the other book without the same same story different scenario written over and over- let’s hope that changes with the progress BUT still LOVING THE SERIES

What has Juliaaaa gotten into this time?
I love this series, from the settings to the characters. A little lore and history thrown in with myths and legends. Makes for some great characters ib an awesome series. I cannot wait for the next books

An amazing series.
I rate the series right up there with Wen Spencer's Tinker Series. It pulls you in and you can't get enough of the characters and the action that is constant throughout these books. I love it!

Fun Read. Read the books in order, this is not a series that you can jump into and just start anywhere. If you like fantasy and strong female rolls this is a great series for both. If you like love stories this has that too, but it is not out in front. Just behind the scene.

Just an ok read, boring in several places.

July 12, 2025I enjoyed reading these books, I like that they are written in the 3rd person style, don’t have any swearing and sex scenes are not a major part of the story, it is left to the reader’s imagination.

Please write faster!!!
Oh boy do things get even more hectic in this set!! Julie discovers a little more of her potential history, Eggy is getting bigger and lots of changes in everything else. Now I reeeeaaaalllly need the the next box set...pretty please!! So many open threads that I so want to follow....
