Before I get into the review, I think it might be helpful to read If I Surrender beforehand in order to get the background on the main cast of characters. It’s possible to start here, but there may be some spoilers and I think to understand the full arc for some characters, it’s best to start at the beginning. Now onto the review!

Hadley is Grayson’s you get twin sister. While she is kind and affable, she’s never had a large group of friends. She cares a lot about the people closest to her though, and will help them in any way she can.

Mac is the start quarter back who never thought he could be with Hadley since she is his best friend’s younger sister. He has a golden retriever personality when it comes to her but also isn’t afraid to show a gruff grizzly bear side.

These two make a cute couple and you could see their growing feelings in book 1. This book continues the development of their relationship and circumstances have them growing closer and sharing their feelings with one another. They are cute together and even though there is some conflict, they both admit the other is the only thing they see when they are in a room together. They are each others world.

One other standout character we see is Connor, who was the main villain in book 1 but has gone to therapy at the urging of Piper and seems to have turned over a new leaf. We learn more about his motivations and see how far he is coming since he vendetta. His story is also intertwined with Hadley’s.

Additionally, other beloved characters return to help out our main couple, and like before we get some humor from Papa Gray in the mix. We also get some suspense and thrill toward the ending, while the majority is focused on the swoonworthy romance.

Overall, this was a highly engaging read, and I cannot wait now for Connor’s book!.

I am so happy the author decided to continue this series. I enjoyed the first book in the series, it kept me on the edge of my seat and this one found me there again.

This is Hadley and Mac's story, but also follows up on what happened with Conner, who was the threat in the last book as well as the twist that Alex, Mac's brother, threw in had me holding my breath.

Hadley and Mac has always been close, but Mac had kept his distance due to his friend Grey, but once he crossed the line Mac put it all on the line. Amazing story that I could not put down.

Another great book in this series. This is Mac and Hadley’s story. Hadley can’t believe that after all the years of loving Mac from a distance, that he wants her. Even with an overprotective brother, things between Hadley and Mac are going really well, until Hadley finds herself in grave danger, but Max is determined not to stop until he gets her back.
A great book, with lots of drama, suspense, some heartbreak, explosive chemistry and a lovely ending. Another great book in this series and I can’t wait for more.

Mac and Hadley are too freaking cute! I adored this book. Honestly I was kind of disappointed with the lack of build up. But happy that they were together and nothing came between them. It felt weird to me to have Connor confess his love for her..that kind of threw me for a loop and I didn’t like how we were all of a sudden just supposed to forgive and feel bad for Connor after he was so awful in the first book. He did grow on me, but he feels like a completely different person and idk how to really feel about it yet…I wish there were more happy moments in the story. I don’t like how the books just kind of ends..

I was so excited to read more of this series, Hadley and Macs story is fabulous, the good, the bad and the ugly of relationships is on full display, not just with each other, but with family and their wider friend group, it was great to catch up on all the Prescott High news and see the issues from the first book being resolved and healed. I loved this book, still full of passion and twists, Mac and Hadley were amazing!.

I really grew to love Mac towards the end of the first book, and I’m still loving him now! Hadley was a breath of fresh air in the first book.
While I really loved both of these characters, I wasn’t really into the whole “Alec got himself into trouble” scenario. I did love Papa Gray! He definitely had me laughing!
I was intrigued by Connor and am definitely looking forward to his book! It’s clear he cares about London and wants to help her.

The story of Mac and Hadley, the star quarterback and his best friend, Grayson’s, shy twin sister. It is the second book of the series and also continues the storyline of Connor from book one.
Compelling and intriguing with enough suspense to keep you tearing through the pages.
Sweet, steamy and emotional with wonderful characters and an engagement storyline.
I really loved Mac and Hadley and look forward to more of the series.

This was a great second installment to the series! I loved seeing the relationship between Hadley and Mac grow and become what it is. They are perfect together. The way this story played out was heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time. I loved everything about this one. I can’t wait to see if there is going to be to another one! Great work!.

I really enjoyed this forbidden romance. Hadley is such a sweetheart and I'm glad that Mac has finally decided that she is his! I liked how we got to read on from what happened in book 1, and to see some of the characters. Hadley and Mac were adorable together and had such great chemistry. I found this book fun and sweet.

An AMAZING sequel to 'If I Surrender'! (Must read that one first to get the full effect of this one.) It has it all - the ups, downs, and sideways of all relationships!

This is the second story in the "Prescott High" it can be read as a stand alone read. However, I think you would get more out of this story by reading the first one prior to this one. This one is about Hadley and Mac. I enjoyed how this story developed. It is a very captivating read with drama, danger, heartbreak, suspense and love. I thought the author did a good job developing this story.

I also loved this book! It was interesting to see where Mac and Hadley’s story went, I pretty sure that I ship them together but I also want her and Connor to get together have her be his everything, I don’t know which one I prefer for Hadley, but I don’t know how Hadley knew that Mac needed her, not a single word had passed between them
