Scrummy read, for me there is nothing more intense to read than sex with 'bite' (i never sleep with garlic in-case any vamps are reading this) but this is a terrific short read i love the language, the spirit, the hope and fear of having to find Allyce before the elders do. Even though its short i felt i knew Jackson and Doyle, hope we get to know more. I really wish this was longer i was lost in Allyce and Doyle passion i wanted to stay a little longer. Really enjoyable lusty, hot read.

Only one complaint, this is too short. There's a lot going on, and it could easily be expended into a novella if not a novel. Very sexy vampires, with hints to a complex vampire society, this is a world I'd be happy to explore in a lot more depth.

Smokin' hot vampire erotica
I had occasion to read this short but entertaining story as a beta reader, pre-publication. And considering the fact that I am both an avid reader and writer of vampire erotica, I am uniquely qualified to give an opinion.
OPINION: I loved it.
Short, sweet, succinct, with great character development, a bit of thriller-suspense intensity, and just enough erotic zing to make you wish it was a full length novel.
Penelope Jones allows the reader to slide into the story on the standard vampire mythology assumptions, leaving more room to develop characters and an intriguing plot very quickly.
If you need a light, fun, sexy read, or if you're looking for the next up and coming erotica author, don't hesitate to give this one a shot.

Penelope Jones always writes beautiful poetry and story. This book is no exception.
How far will a Vampire go to save the life of the one he loves? Penelope tells us in an exceptional romantic and hot love story.(Yes I meant the play on words)
Beautifully emotional, raw and real. Yeah, so I'm officially in love and addicted to Penelope's writing.
A nail biting story with some great steamy scenes in between to keep you hooked.The story is definitely different and it will make you cringe at times but it will also make you swoon.
This is a must read! You can't go wrong with hot Vampire and his blood slave in a love story that will bring you sadness and happiness all at once.
