“Lead us not into temptation…” ~Matthew 6:13 What happens when you fall in love with your best friend’s father? Leah is a good, Catholic girl, and she and Erica have been best friends since their first communion. Sure, Erica’s father is handsome and charming, but Leah spends so much time at the Nolan’s—just Erica and her famous, photographer father now, since Erica’s mother died—that she’s practically part of the family. Both girls have led privileged, sheltered lives and are on the “good girl” track at St. Mary Magdalene’s Preparatory College, Leah pursuing her love of dance and Erica sating her endless curiosity as editor of the newspaper. Neither of them could have ever imagined that one fateful discovery will not only push the boundaries of their strict, repressive upbringing, but the bonds of their friendship as well. Leah certainly never could have imagined finding herself torn between her best friend and her best friend’s father. Sure, Leah’s mother had always talked about Mr. Nolan as “a catch,” but Leah herself had never thought of him as anything other than just Erica’s dad—until the girls discover something darkly erotic under Mr. Nolan’s bed, a deep, shameful secret that will not only lead them into temptation, but will deliver them into a far greater revelation than any of them could ever have imagined. If you read the original Under Mr. Nolan’s Bed, you will find this retelling a richer experience with deeper secrets to reveal—and don’t miss Under Mr. Nolan’s CONFESSION, the second installment in the three-part series!

Leah and Erica Nolan had been best friends for a long time. With the amount of time Leah had been spending at the Nolan's she was practically family. But a discovery under Mr. Nolan's bed changed everything about their relationships.

I read this book for the first time in 2014. It was the time when I was barely reading erotica and for whatever reason I can't remember decided to read this book. It was a shocker to say the least lol! I wasn't ready to embrace my perversion then (proven by my original review below - which I rather people not read it haha!), but this time around I shamelessly enjoyed every filthy moment.

Her fingers moved in and out of my wetness and she lapped and sucked at my clit, making soft wet sounds between my legs.

The book is pure porn, so I'm rating and reviewing it as such. If you like your reading to push your personal boundaries with dirty sex that makes you want to take a shower to scrub out the filth, this book will deliver.

Some of the things that happened in the story were wrong (well at least according to standard social norm lol!) but that's what made it so hot. I'm happy to say I was thoroughly satisfied with zero guilt :p

I’d gotten undressed in front of Erica a hundred times before, but she had never looked at me like this, her eyes full of a strange, hungry light.

Under Mr. Nolan's bed is a story of sexual liberation and exploration. It would appeal to readers who aren't afraid to enjoy erotica for what it is.

Note:
My review is for the original uncensored banned version. It's not for the fainthearted lol!

Warning! If you have read any version of this story, you might want to revise your review to note WHICH version you've read because your feelings about the edition that you read may not reflect the version that your friends are viewing when they look at reviews for this book. When I search any edition of this book, ALL reviews for EVERY edition show - the incest version, the non-incest version, the high school version, the college version, the contemporary versions, the historical version, etc. So if you read the non-incest version and rated it highly, people might be looking at your review under the incest version and thinking that you're a fan of father-daughter sexy times (which is cool if you are; I just figured you might want to know in case you're not a fan). Just sayin'.

Goodreads has dropped the ball with the consolidation of every version of this story under one listing. THE VERSIONS CAN BE DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT, and I have rated different editions with different star ratings.

I realized that I needed to revise my review after I decided to read books 2 and 3 of this series this week and was shocked to find out that the series books MOVED the time period from present day to the past. Talk about a surprise re-write!

Case in point - all of these are versions of UMNB filed under the same GR page :

Under Mr. Nolan's Bed (original incest/blood father version; high school age) - my rating : 2 stars
Under Mr. Nolan's Bed (revised stepfather version; age unknown) - I haven't read but think I might prefer stepfather to blood father
Plaid Skirt Confessions (no incest, no relation version; college age) - my rating : 4 stars
Forbidden Fruit (I think this is a retitled and slightly edited version of PSC; college age) - my rating : 4 stars

And then we get to...

Temptation - Still considered a version of UMNB but is SET IN ANOTHER TIME PERIOD; historical mid 20th century with the same characters, instead of the contemporary setting like all of the other editions listed above. College age.

The hell???

Temptation is the only UMNB version that ties into books 2 and 3 of the series because books 2 and 3 are historical. I picked up book 2 of this series not realizing that the time period had changed. I'd already read UMNB in 3 different versions, so I figured - hey, I know this story backwards and forwards. I don't need to read a 4th version of book 1 in order to be able to pick up book 2. Right?

Books 2 and 3 of this series, set in another time period, kind of sucked. But I will review those on another day. Maybe.

Either way, make sure you're getting the version that you want to read because as you can see, I've rated this book EITHER 2 or 4 stars, depending on the version.

I liked the hot sex (this book is porn without plot in any version, so prepare for a ton of sex and not much else...but I really enjoy how Kitt writes sex), both the f/f and the older man/younger woman scenes. It was all yummy. The incest, I didn't care for as much. That's why I rated the non-incest version higher.

I'm going to go ahead and delete my review for Plaid Skirt confessions and add it to the end of this review, so I don't have two reviews listed for what GR is showing as the same book, even though UMNB and PSC are completely different, right down to the ending (open ending that might turn bad in one book vs. happy in another).

Review for Under Mr. Nolan's Bed : 2 stars

Adult review for taboo erotic content.

Yet another book that I got sucked into because so many people were reading it and making a buzz over it. Before I go into the negatives, I'm going to say that this book was HOT and pretty darn good actually up until the last few chapters. I'm sure this book would be one that most men would loooove (barely legal fantasies, girl on girl, anyone?).

Not going to spoiler tag the rest because if you read the summaries or just about any review this will be mentioned, and in all honesty, it's something you SHOULD know about before picking up the book.

This book features father/daughter incest. Hardcore father/daughter incest.

Yes, I get it. The book was a taboo book. The author specifically wrote it for the purpose of being a fantasy and nothing else. This wasn't supposed to be an after school special, or some sort of moral message. Some people like to read ultra crazy taboo, and it's almost not fair to rate the book poorly when this book fits a niche genre. I've even read other incest stories (and enjoyed a few of Ms. Kitt's, actually), so it's not that I can't handle incest. I just didn't care for it in this particular story.

What frustrated me the most is that the incest took the focus off the main part of the story, which was about Leah and Mr. Nolan, who actually had a good thing going. There was no need for Erica (the daughter) to even get in the middle of that, especially when the scenes were snuck in almost out of nowhere near the end, and Leah went from wanting "her Mr. Nolan" to being okay with letting her friend join in with no previous mention of her wanting such a fantasy. It felt almost tacked on to me for shock value (I hate being manipulated into being shocked). I wanted Leah to get her happy ever after with Mr. Nolan, even if the age difference was huge between them.

Review for Plaid Skirt Confessions : 4 stars

This book is the same (updated) book, except without the incest, so it was a huge winner for me. I loved it. There isn't much plot, but if you like steamy, this is the one for you. Selena Kitt knows how to write the scenes, and boy does she deliver in this book. May/December romances intrigue me because they often don't work, but in this book, I was rooting for it every step of the way. I think I missed out on seducing an older man when I was 18. Darn...should've gone for it at the time, hah!

My only complaint is that the girls were aged to 20 in this version and put in college, which didn't work for me with the catholic schoolgirl thing going on. Is there any reason they couldn't have stayed 18? That is a completely legal age, and made the girls' lack of independence a little more believable.

... see review of new version below.

Ok, i feel like I need to go to church...I basically stayed up all night reading Under Mr. Nolan's Bed...WOW! Selena Kitt is the Queen of Smut...seriously.

Besides the ick factor of the incest, this book was dirty and hot and wrong on so many levels, but it was a 4.5 star trash read for me. This book is one of those "dirty little secrets". You know you have one...this one, for instance, has been sitting on my "to read" shelf forever. It is definitely one of those you don't want anyone to know you have read--and that you liked it. You thank the Lord that Kindle was invented so no one can see the title and ask what it is about. Yes, it is definitely a guilty pleasure.

It was chocked full of dirty hot sex, but there was actually a story there too *GASP*. I was totally shocked by the ending--didn't see that one coming at all! Good stuff! Honestly, I put off reading it so long because of the taboo topic, but it really was a great read...total smut, but do you really expect anything less from Selena Kitt?

REVIEW OF TEMPTATION: 2013

There is no doubt about it; author Selena Kitt is the Queen of Taboo! I started reading Kitt’s stories back in 2010 and when it comes to taboo topics, her work is the gold standard, in my opinion.

Multi-styled Text Generator at TextSpace.net

For the benefit of new readers, I feel it's necessary to give a brief history of how TEMPTATION was born.

Under Mr. Nolan's Bed, often referred to as “UMNB,” was originally published in 2008. The pages contained a very naughty story of sexual exploration that involved a little girl-on-girl action and *gasp* incest. It was a hot little number and earned a 4/5 star rating from me, but the level of steam and the taboo nature of the book, may have been a little "much" for some readers.

Selena Kitt is obviously a smart businesswoman. In an effort to appeal to the masses with this wildly popular story, Ms. Kitt recreated her masterpiece in 2010 and introduced the “slightly less naughty but no less sexy re-telling” of the taboo events that occurred in The Original UMNB and named it Plaid Skirt Confessions. This new and altered version took out the incest angle and made it more of a May/December type of romance. Sweet by Kitt standards, but still sexy!

In 2010, Amazon decided to be the morality police and pull all incest related reading material from their site. Ms. Kitt knew that fighting that battle was futile and rolled with the changes in 2011 by taking a middle of the road approach by creating a story that wasn’t quite as taboo as The Original version and not as “tame” as PLAID SKIRT CONFESSIONS. Conforming to the new “no incest” rules at Amazon, she created Under Mr Nolan's Bed Revised and told a story of pseudo-incest where the characters were not of any blood relation, but still had that father/daughter type of relationship, so it was taboo-ish, but not illegal and fit right in with the new Amazon guidelines – CLEVER!

Multi-styled Text Generator at TextSpace.net

When I want to read something that skirts the taboo, Selena Kitt is my “go-to” author, so, when I found out that she was planning an exciting trilogy based on one of my favorite stories, UMNB, I knew I had to have it!

TEMPTATION is, by Ms. Kitt’s own description, a retelling of The Original with a “a richer experience with deeper secrets to reveal.” Having read the original, trust me when I say this: You will definitely want to read this updated version – although the bones of the story is basically the same, it is, in fact, a “richer experience.” In roughly 250 pages, we learn more about what drives the characters and we get a clearer picture of their lives and how they live. If you are an old Selena Kitt fan, rest assured that TEMPTATION contains all the naughty goodness that you have come to love about her work. This first installment in the UMNB Trilogy catapults the basic story (used in all the books previously mentioned) to the top of my taboo list.

I am not typically one to re-read books, but each version of this story has unique elements that make them seem like different reads - each appealing to a variety of tastes. Kudos to author, Selena Kitt for revising, reinventing and reviving this delicious tale of lust and forbidden love. If you love the taboo, then you will love the first book, TEMPTATION, in this new trilogy, UNDER MR. NOLAN’S BED.

Oh god

I could of coped with the story until the incest.. i mean seriously I really enjoy F/F books so them getting it on was hot, I did not even mind her getting it on with the dad & then the girl separately, I did not mind the age gap at all.
Then they all do it together, *shudder* i just... words fail me.

The worst thing was that it was a like watching a car crash, i just could not stop reading! It was horrific but i just had to read it..

Then i read the ending...

Porn that is well written. That ending Argrrrrrrrh!

I will just leave this here:

"Father?"
"Yes, my child. "He swallowed his words and cleared his throat. "Is that all?"
I nodded, closing my eyes and lifting my sticky fingers to my mouth and tasting myself. "Yes."
"Let's pray together."

5 Taboo Stars!!

At 18 years old, Leah is a high school student who spends the majority of her time with her best friend, Erica. Due to natural teenage sexual curiosities, they discover what Erica’s father, Mr. Nolan, is keeping hidden under his bed. From that moment, a world of pleasure opens to Leah and she wants to experience it all.

“Doesn’t it feel good to be bad?” I touched my lips, still wet with her juices, and nodded. I had to admit – it really did.”

Mr. Nolan is a widower of five years raising his daughter on his own. Knowing his daughter and Leah are such good friends comforts him to a degree, but Leah is catching his attention in a new and dangerous ways. As the temptation becomes too great, Mr. Nolan and Leah succumb to their desire leading to scorching hot scenes.

“Oh yes, fuck me, Mr. Nolan. Put that big, hard cock in my wet little cunt.” Just whispering the words, hearing them out loud, was beyond exciting.”

In starting this Under Mr. Nolan’s Bed, I had certain expectations and this book delivered by exceeding on the forbidden and smut scale! To be clear, this particular version is the original and uncut story that delves into the taboo on so many wrong levels, but it’s also cringe-worthy in that what transpires is sexually erotic.

With all that occurs in the relationships of these characters, the recurring theme is the exploration of being uninhibited despite societal conventions. This version may not be for everyone, but the author unabashedly embraces the forbidden and successfully pushes the boundaries, as nothing is off-limits.

For those who are looking for a truly taboo story, Under Mr. Nolan’s Bed will keep you glued to the pages, fanning yourself and wondering what did I just read?! I highly recommend.

OK, let's get this straight from the beginning - this book is not really erotica, it is porn in book form. So, if you are not interested in this genre, particularly a Taboo oriented porn, you should stay away from this book, you will find it to be exactly what it is meant to be, which is Smut, and might be tempted to rate it as a romance or something else altogether.

I personally purchased it for the particular reason that I felt like reading some mindless smut, and this book fit the bill perfectly!!! It is about a young woman, she is in college, who is sexually attracted to her best friend's father and her road to discovering her sexuality. It is not tame, it will probably offend many with the eye rolling inducing taboo clichés and the way the supposedly 20 year old ladies acted like 13 year olds. It is not a love story or does it have any plot. What it is, is page after page of sexual masturbatory fantasies and dirty, raw sex. And if you get to read it expecting something else, then I can see being disappointed and would explain some of the lower ratings.

However, since I went into this read with eyes wide open, I can honestly say that this book delivered on its promise of non-stop hormonally induced hot, drag down sex fest! And for what it is, it totally deserves its 4 star rating.

Once again, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO READ IT IF you are not up to some mindless book Porn!!! It was not intended as anything else, so don't set your self up for disappointment. But if you and your partner enjoy some steamy reading before bed, well, this one might steam up the sheets:-)

I know what you're thinking ...

...but in my defense, I didn't actually read the version with incest, so that makes it much better (obviously).

You would think this would be a winner with me - best friend's father stories are my drug, I love the age difference, the taboo aspect, the sneaking around, big pieces of man meat- it floats my boat, I'm a dirty perv. Sadly, this one is not going into my 'bean flicking bank'.

Several things didn't work for me. The big one being that shit is nasty. And the whole F/F aspect was pretty shit here as well. Her friend was selfish and annoying. And there was more...

which was a bit of a let down.

But, a big thanks to Selene for finding this version for me.

Selena Kitt, Under Mr. Nolan's Bed (Excessica Publishing, 2008)

I've been interested in Selena Kitt's stuff for a while now, but had never gotten around to reading any of her novel-length work until this. Actually, “read” is probably not quite the right description. Inhaled, maybe. Devoured. One way or the other, I burned through Under Mr. Nolan's Bed in a single sitting. I've spent the last year reading crappy kindle porn when I could have been reading this? What's wrong with me? I fell prey to the nostalgia thing, I guess; I figured if Olympia published it in the seventies it was probably better than what's being produced now. (In my defense, I have yet to come across a porn FILM made in the past twenty years that can hold a candle to any porn film from the seventies I've seen.) Oh, my, how wrong I was. Selena Kitt knows how to write sex. Does she ever.

Leah and Erica have been best friends all their lives. Both are eighteen and go to Catholic school. Leah is an innocent, though she has a naughty fantasy every once in a while. She assumes Erica is the same way, until one day when they're supposed to be working on their senior project and Erica shows Leah the delights to be found under her father's bed. Not at all the kind of thing you expect to find under the bed of a devout Catholic. (You have fifteen seconds to come up with your own punch line.) Leah is shocked, at first, but then finds herself drawn to the things she sees. And as if experimenting with Erica weren't enough, Leah's really starting to wonder what it would be like to play around with Mr. Nolan...

I mentioned in an earlier review today that sex writing all too often degenerates into repetitive depictions of repetitive acts. On the other side of that coin are some of the sillier porn novels I've read, which attempt to curb the repetition by making sure every sex scene is something entirely different. When you're writing a book with a lot of sex scenes, that can get amusing really quick. Kitt balances the best of both worlds—the sex is pretty well-grounded in reality and the characters aren't playing musical partners every other page, but she's more than capable of coming up with a plethora of ways to describe the same act, and she's quick enough to know what goes where (linguistically, you pervs) as Leah and Erica gain more experience in their sexual world.

While this is—by an order of magnitude—the best erotica I've read all year, that's not to say it doesn't have a small handful of problems. The biggest of them may not even be a problem, depending on the author's intent, but I've been picking it apart seven ways to Sunday and I can't find any other explanation. And I probably wouldn't even consider it a problem were the rest of the book not structured so well. Unfortunately, having said all that, I can't tell you what it is, because going into those details would contain pretty much every spoiler there is to be spoiled in the book. I'll just say the book's closing paragraphs seem to be quite hypocritical, and I can't figure out whether the author intended same. I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt given how well everything else is worked out here, but it still seems quite crass for a character who had engaged in some of the behaviors she had (no, not sexual behaviors, you pervs) to end up doing the one-eighty she does when a crucial piece of information is revealed. But, of course, whether that will be a problem for you is not a judgment call I can make; I'm not in your head. (Trust me, you don't want me there.) I can tell you that the sex is hot, and it's pretty much nonstop despite there actually being a plot here. Quite possibly the best porn novel I've ever read. Not deathless literature, mind you, but it's obvious Selena Kitt is aware of literature outside the world of the stroke-book and lets it influence her. That is, perhaps, the most surprising thing here, and it's wonderful. *** ½

Edited: March 24, 2013 *added quotes from the books*

Honestly, I don't really know how would I rate this one.

Okay. So I read the blurb, a few reviews and I was so curious that I had to check it out!

I gotta say, yes, the scenes were pretty hot. I was never a fan of the super older male/younger female pair (something with a really wide age gap, around 15-20 years? Although I did have some exception). It was just really weird for me. Also, this was my very first read on a F/F scene. I didn't really hate it but, I didn't love it either so, I guess that was okay for me. I can still go on with the story...

HOWEVER, around 60-70% of the book, I was like:

I was like "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!?!?!" I have read incest/taboo type of books. But this... this has got to be WAY BEYOND MY LIKING. Seriously. I was shocked but I have no idea why I kept on reading it. Maybe because I want to finish it so badly so I just went through with it. The book kinda have that quality - where in you wanna throw it away but your eyes are glued and you just. can't. stop.

And the ending? OHMYWORD. I DID NOT EXPECT THAT.

Okay, so I decided to add some quotes/dialogues. Read at your own risk!

The first ebook I’ve ever bought from Amazon but I just got around to review this now. This one just completely takes the cake in smut points. I cannot even begin to describe how hot everything in this book is. It blew my mind and I’m so glad I found this.

First 70% of the book was explosive. I couldn’t believe what I was reading, it was that good. But the other 30% started going downhill real fast. I didn’t like it. I kinda just erased the latter portion of the book from my head.

I’m not gonna get into too much, but damn. Um... lol. I love this book. It’s a forbidden storyline, but not too much that you feel yourself “is this wrong for my morals?” Because no. It’s not. This isn’t incest or pseudo-incest, but it’s her best friend’s dad.

There’s so many aspect in this book that heightened the sexual tension. Experimenting with her hot best friend? Finding adult stuff for the first time? Being a Catholic schoolgirl? A virgin? HER BEST FRIEND’S DAD?

Um... thank me after you read this.

1000000/10 worth the read. Seriously. You’ll thank me.

I read the Forbidden Fruit version of this story--no incest/college aged.

If you're looking for some fairly generic porn, this is the book for you. It's a fun, quick read...but I get the impression, because of all the rewrites and different versions of this story, that Forbidden Fruit is pretty watered down. Worse, there are elements of the story that just don't work.

Leah and Erica are supposedly 20 years old, and at an all-girls Catholic college. Oddly, it appears the "college" is set up like high school with class periods throughout the day. Both girls are living at home, neither has a driver's license, and their parents still tell them what to do...at 20. Weird, right? It feels very disjointed.

As per most erotica, there is very little character development and a little too much insta-love. Plus, I got really tired of reading the words swollen and mound. And after the first 100 pages, it becomes very repetitive. But, if you're looking for a good masturbatory novel...look no further!

Another thing I found confusing...the story appears to be leading up to some cataclysmic conclusion, but NOTHING happens. I'm guessing it's different in other versions, but in FF, it's incredibly anti-climatic. The one thing in the book that doesn't cause a climax. (Haha)

For what it is--smut, it's a decent story. Just don't go in expecting anything more.

SELENA KITT IS MY PORN!!

I read the original copy of this book so I have no idea if this book was much different but the original was fucking filthy as fuck and is my wank bank book!

It's incest and I don't give a fuck! The taboo the better!

After this book I've gone on a proper Selena Kitt binge and hope she brings some more 'banned books' out!

What the fuck did I just listen to?
No, really.. what did my virgin ears just hear?

Under Mr. Nolan's Bed was a very disturbing book to listen to. I had no idea what the hell I was getting into until it actually happened. Then it was one of those train wrecks that I couldn't look away from. Honestly, I just wanted to know how it was going to end.. and after I listened to that I have a feeling I'm going to have a nightmare or two.

This story is about two best friends, Erica and Leah, and how they are definitely getting to know their sexual side. Leah ends up getting a crush on Erica's dad.. which then get's a little weird. No, not the smut between Leah and Mr. Nolan - which was hot to a point (again, that ending!) but then yeah.. it got way weird. Next thing you know Erica and Leah are exploring with each other.. then Leah with Erica's dad.. then Erica somehow joins at one point?!?

Yes, you read that right. Erica and her dad have sex.. but it's somehow supposed to be okay because they all want it to happen?!? Yeah, I don't know about you but I feel like I've just been mindfucked and I might need to drink bleach when I get home tonight. Then there's that ending - which honestly I did see coming once you heard (or read) little comments here and there - and that is what made me want to throw up. Heck maybe even cut off my ears.

I completely regret jumping into this book just off of what happened in this book. I don't condone dads sleeping with their kids because that makes me want to vomit and burn that said book or person. I'm a little freaked out right now and might need some hugs and wine to make myself feel better.

Don't read this book.

Ummmmm. There's a party in my pants and I'm only a wee bit ashamed of it. Holy shit.

I previously read one of the revised versions of this book and while very smutty....this version (The OG gangster version found on Google Play) is the cremé de la cremé of dirty, bad, wrong smut. We got F/F, M/F, F/F/M and F/M/F and Daddy incest x 2. This book should come with a warning label. Fuck. I was not expecting that shit. This book is straight Fap City. Selena Kitt is like Alexa Riley x 1000. This is straight up book porn and IT IS NOT soft by any means.

So enter at your own risk. Be afraid, be very afraid or.....not. Absolutely no judgement here *hangs sweaty head in shame*

My fingers hurt. Damn.

I have to say Selena Kitt is the ONE author who can get my juices flowing with a F/F scene. I tend to prefer M/M, M/F/M, M/M/F or M/F or some variation but the common theme is one F! Ms. Kitt can write sex that's gritty but not too out there. Sometimes controversial I absolutely know that anytime I click on one of her stories in my kindle I must have all my other *items* close by. If you're looking for a good story that will get you heated up look no further!

Review for the ORIGINAL version

Talk about taboo. I feel so dirty after reading this. I need a shower or to go to confession or something to cleanse myself of how much I like something so wrong. There’s girl on girl, daddy on daughter, a pretty big age gap, Catholic school girls, and a little ménage.

school girls

I like the pseudo-incest, banging the stepbrother books, but this is on a whole different level. Note that I read and am reviewing the original Under Mr. Nolan’s Bed which contains a whole lot of incest. It’s unsettling to know just how much I liked it. This should be added to a list called “books to masturbate to.”

tonight show

It amazes me how Selena Kitt can write the filthiest sex but still not be over the top or silly. This is basically porn in written form. There’s an actual plot, which is different than a lot of other smut, and there’s a ton of raunchy and definitively taboo sex.

The ending was a huge shocker. Kinktastic and totally taboo.

Review for TEMPTATION (Revised version)

I read Temptation after reading the original version of Under Mr. Nolan’s Bed. Much of the dialogue is exactly the same, but it’s been revised to make the girls slightly older, and it now takes place in the 1950s. It has removed the most incestuous parts, but it’s still just as smutty. There’s still a big shocker at the end, but with the continuation of the series in Confession, it doesn’t have the same finality that the original version did.

I would recommend either version. Although Temptation is not quite as taboo, it’s still very kinky. Definitely a guilty pleasure.

Usually I try to be fairly eloquent in my reviews, but I think I can sum up this review in two words: 1) Ick. 2) Gross.

Okay, I basically admit that I'm a bad person. I KNEW this book was about incest because it's pretty clear in the description and in all the warnings. I can try to convince myself that the only reason I finally broke down and read this is because it was a Nook lendable book that I got FREE from a friend.... But if I have to be completely honest with myself, the main issue is, you know that whole curiosity killed the cat adage...? Meeeee-ow.

The book was actually pretty good and very erotic up until the final few chapters where it took a turn for the worst. Leah is Erica Nolan's best friend and they find some steamy porn under Mr. Nolan's bed. There's some F/F action (not really my thing, but I can see how that would entice some), but the heat cranks up a notch when Leah catches Mr. Nolan watching some movies. I think the whole relationship between Leah and Nolan would've been enough to keep me interested in the book. I thought it was pretty hot, and there was an element of forbidden fruit, given the fact that Leah just turned 18 and Mr. Nolan is her best friend's dad.

When the whole incest issue came into play, however, I just felt totally grossed out. There's really no better way to describe it. It didn't even make sense in the plot, how something like that could even happen. I mean, really, WTF is wrong with Mr. Nolan? He instantly morphed from a hot, sexy, older man to a totally nasty piece of work that should be visited by child services. Just totally gross. I need to take a shower - I just feel dirty.

I know there is a milder version of the book out there called Plaid Skirt Confessions, where there is no incest involved. But oh noooo, I just HAD to see what all the hype was about. I just couldn't let it go. And now these images will be burned in my brain forever. This is my punishment for being a bad person.

FYI...this tech challenged reader downloaded the edited version of this book. This is NOT, I repeat NOT the same as Under Mr. Nolan's Bed by Selena Kitt . I will be reading that version as well, but just wanted anyone reading this to understand that I am reviewing the 'REVISED'version.

That being said, this book is HAWT!! Like stick my naughty parts in a tub of ice 'cause they are on FIRE!!! I usually bookmark my fav naughty parts, but there are WAY WAY WAY too many to bookmark...the entire book is a VERRA HAWT AND VERRA NAUGHTY READ!!

Leah and Erica have been best friends forever. They share EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING!! The girls are 18 years old and seniors at a catholic school (yes, we get to enjoy the 'little school girl outfit' fantasy). One day, Erica takes her best friend into her stepdad's (Mr. Nolan) room and shares what's 'Under Mr. Nolan's Bed'...a stash of naughty pics and videos. The girls watch and begin to try out these naughty images on each other...and it doesn't stop w/each other...soon Mr. Nolan joins in...and readers, it gets really, really, hawt from there. If you are easily offended, well, you shouldn't be reading erotica to begin with...nuff said.

I highly recommend this book, revised or not, and will be reading the non-edited in the near future!! Will give one more warning...don't read this at work (even if you are on break)...people tend to look at you funny when you are clutching your boobs & panting hard!! Hee Hee!

Under Mr. Nolan's Bed by Selena Kitt

What made this a great erotic novel was how well written it was. Because let's face it there are only so many ways you can lick something. Hehe. I love when an erotica author can write pages of sex and make it hot and fun to read.

Leah and Erica are young girls who attend a Catholic school, and are best friends. Leah spends a lot of time at Erica Nolan's and eventually Erica clues Leah into what is under her dads bed. His porn stash. They have the afternoons alone and basically go from innocently exploring their bodies to full fledged sexual fulfillment.

They are both virgins so the beginning of the book has quite a bit of masturbation, that leads to girl on girl oral. The sexual evolution for Leah comes (pun intended) one late night she catches Mr. Nolan in the act.

I like good characters if I can't have a good plot to go along with it, fine. Give me a character to enjoy. Leah develops and her sexual appetite is a pleasure to read about. Anyone older might not have been believable but her naivety and insatiable needs made me fall in love with her. I basically forgave everything she did in search her for next orgasm, lol.

OMG!! WTF!! I think I said that about every page. This book is not for the faint at heart and it has taken me a year to get brave enough to read, but once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. I read the whole book in on setting, if you don't count when put it down to dance around in shock.

This is a revised edition of the original story Under Mr. Nolan's Bed. I've actually read all three versions of this story.

There were many changes to this book from the original. Some of the changes I liked and others I'm not sure about. I don't remember the original being set in the 1960's. This one definitely was. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but after reading the entire story I realize it actually adds to the story. it makes it better.

There were many scenes added to this one. It helped add to the temptation and tension between Mr. Nolan and Leah.

The biggest change...the ending! Oh boy! What an ending we have here! I can't wait to read the next one. I have to know how this turns out! No, I'm not telling the ending! You'll have to read it to find out!

I received a copy of this from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I didn't quite understand why this one was so controversial.

Leaving aside the ending, I just didn't connect with it. The first sex scene was fine. But the rest of it - and there was a lot - just got really repetitive.

I am actually surprised I didn't see the ending coming. It was pretty obvious when you thought about it. I certainly wasn't shocked.

I won't recommend this one to anyone and now that I understand that this is the first book in a trilogy I don't ever intend to getting around to finishing it.

So there are quite a few versions of this book. This version has been banned by the zon but you can still get it in paperback which I did. This is the uncensored version.

I haven't read the other versions but it seems like the edited versions may have more plot and drama which includes the hypocrisy of the Catholic church. Oh and one of the versions is set in the 1950's I believe. 🤷‍♀️

Now the blurb on the back says how Leah falls in love with her friend's "stepdad." Nowhere is it mentioned in this version that Mr. Nolan is Erica's stepdad. It's totally her biological dad and I'm guessing they put "stepdad" on the blurb so some retailers would still be willing to sell the paperback or they were trying to trick the zon into thinking there was no real incest so the ebook could be sold on kindle. 🤷‍♀️

TBH I kind of was dissapointed when I read "stepdad" on the back. Actually "miffed" is probably more accurate because I knew the original had incest themes and I didn't want the watered down version because obviously I got problems.

This is smut. Pure smut. It's hot smut and it is so very taboo. So my five stars is based on what this book's original purpose was supposed to be: Get you hot and shock you with the taboo and possibly question your moral compass for getting so hot and bothered by all of it. Ok maybe the third one is me projecting. Also the ending was a bit of a surprise to add to all the wrongness to it and made me take it up from the 4 stars I was originally going to rate it.

I won't spoil the twist.

But...

Onto to spoil the sex! Stop reading if you need to be surprised what kind of smut you are getting.

Erica shows her best friend, Leah, her dad's porn stash. They look at it and experiment sexually with each other even though Erica has a boyfriend.

One night Leah catches Mr. Nolan masturbating. He fights it a little but eventually they are humping like bunnies. Even when his daughter is fast asleep on the couch while watching a movie. While all three of them are at the movies and Mr. Nolan and Leah are feeling each other up and then excuse themselves to go pee while the other one waits a minute to say they need to refill their soda but really it's to have a quick hot tryst in the family bathroom. Or when Mr. Nolan takes them to a nice restaurant and they once again are doing it in a bathroom but this time someone is using a urinal while Leah is orgasming in the stall that Mr. Nolan and her are using.

Meanwhile through all of this the two friends are exploring with each other.

There is a little drama when Erica catches her best friend and dad in bed together. However that passes when Erica is sad because her boyfriend dumps her. Leah comforts her while fingering her and answering Erica's questions about her dad's penis and how he is at sex.

Yeah now this is the part of the story where I was like "oh yeah this is why this was banned." Then you have the two threesome scenes where the dad and daughter have sex. Leah isn't jealous and Erica accepts that Leah is her dad's girlfriend. So a HEA, right? Well there is that twist at the end BUT seeing how this has been banned I'm sure the twist at the end of this book makes no appearance in the sequels that follow the censored versions.

Oh also there is a scene where Leah goes to confession and while she's confessing she and apparently the priest get super horny and start pleasing themselvs. Now in theory this is a hot fantasy. At least to this fallen Catholic girl. However I found it a bit ridiculous. The priest was old and came off as too much of a pervert. Hey it may get someone else off and they might think that scene is on fire. I'm the weirdo who went out of her way to get this version of this story so I am in no position to judge.

The pairings are MF MFF FF

Edit to add the girls are high school seniors in this version.

I've been told this is a terrible book because of the incest. I read this and thought, wow, if my dad was like Mr. Nolan, hmm, I guess I could see it happening. This is a story that is wrong on so many levels which is why it is taboo. I think I have more issues with

The path of perversion starts all with dirty magazines and porn videos. This is why people are so against porn. Ms. Kitt writes a realistic story demonstrating the consequences of porn accessible to children. As a side note, I feel vindicated that the Catholic school girls are the dirty little sluts people accuse them to be.

I heard a rumour that there may be a sequel to this story. If so, I'd like to read it to see what happens between Mr. Nolan and Leah.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I have read both previous versions of this story and that may be why I rated it 3 stars rather than 4.

The time period is a difficult one for me to enjoy. The Happy Days vibe combined with an erotic, taboo story line was a bit discomforting.

But despite that, it's Selena Kitt and you know you are going to get a hot story that pushes the boundaries. That I DO like.

Honestly, I am looking forward to the next book in the trilogy. All the content of the original (and the less taboo re-write) was revisited in this first book, so Confession will be completely new territory.

There are some subtle but important differences in the stories and I am curious to see how they play out.

Whether you read the original Under Mr. Nolan's Bed or the more PC Plaid Skirt Confessions, I think you should revisit Leah and Rob in this new telling and find out where Selena is taking them next.
