Boxed set - 3 books for less than the price of two. Be very careful who you marry. The Duke of Glenartair wasn't careful enough, and found himself plagued by a duchess who simply wouldn't go away. She was a beauty, he had to give her that, and many other men thought so too. Unfortunately, she only saw men as a means to gain wealth. Yet, the duchess wanted more; she wanted to remain just that - a duchess. Marblestone Mansion (Scandalous Duchess Series) is suitable for ages 14-96.

All the good things are in these books! They're clean, well written, there's mystery, etc. I wasn't completely happy with Cathleen and Cameron's pairing. Can't wait for more!
Wonderful story, very interesting characters and their experiences mixing with Scottish immigrants to COLORADO. Best of all, no wasted pages of intimate sex details.
Love stories centered on Scotland and Colorado are unusual and the inclusion of a bigamist who has no remorse and only revenge on her mind make great reading.
I throughly enjoyed these three books in the series and will look forward to more of them. It is sort of an American "Upstairs, Downstairs" type of story. Quite a saga!
If you are looking for a clean, purely basic historical story with happy, sometimes predictable endings, then this series is likely for you.
I enjoy the historical genre, especially when set in the West. The first book was a Kindle freebie and it was of interest enough to spend the $5 for the next two. I will likely read the ensuing titles in the series.
Because my reading time is broken up into small time segments and frequently interrupted, I sometimes felt there were too many characters to follow. I found myself going back into the book at times to remind myself of who was who. But it didn't keep me from reading on.
My mother came to the U.S. at the end of WW2, from Scotland. I love Scotland....as did she. Marti seems to have the knack for bringing my mother's voice to my mind, and I thank her so much.
