I think it's a pretty good overview, and a nice review if you haven't studied Japanese in a while. A pretty good grammar book. Easy to work through. The later chapters felt a bit lazy in my opinion, and didn't offer nearly as much content as the earlier chapters. I wouldn't recommend this if you're a true beginner, as it doesn't offer much explanation for accompanying grammar points, so maybe get your feet wet first... This covers mostly N5/N4 level grammar.

While of course I wouldn’t recommend using the book on its own, you should always use additional sources when you’re attempting to learn a new language, it is a great companion and offers insight.
