Pre-teen main characters as leads in a simple mystery so it's a perfect book for that age group. Harkens back to Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew genre. Set in Harlem in possibly the 60's with heavy emphasis on family and church activities but not preachy at all. That's just the lifestyle of the characters. Dialogue is richly realistic. I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to review this.
