Kelly Eileen Hake is a reader favorite of Barbour's Heartsong Presents series, where she has released several books. A credentialed Secondary English teacher in California, she is pursing her MA in Writing Popular Fiction. Known for her own style of witty, heartwarming historical romance, Kelly is currently writing the Prairie Promises trilogy, her first full-length novels. She has been writing since she could hold a pen and was first published at the tender age of eighteen.
A solid ending to the Chance saga. After a wild string of bad luck, widow Daisy Thales and her disabled son, Jamie, are living at Miz Willow's ranch until she can afford to rebuild her burnt-down house. While there, she grows a friendship and then an attraction to quiet, dependable Bryce Chance, the final bachelor in the family. Bryce is both very into her and very sweet to her son. He's kind of the perfect man, if Daisy can stop trending water long enough to notice and take a leap of faith.
This was a relative slow-burn for the length, and I was very into the first half. We still have the fun side characters of Salt Lick Holler and general shenanigans to keep the pace lively. I think the courting phase is where the development gets a bit off (which is true of many books in this series. Maybe I'm just not used to that aspect in books). I particularly appreciated how Bryce immediately embraces and supports Jamie. Jamie has palsy and can't walk, and Bryce never makes him feel lesser or finds it a trial. I suppose Bryce doesn't really get an arc, here, but sometimes it's nice when the dude is just chill and wealthy and kind.
I'm glad I completed this series. It was definitely a great ride.
I read this years ago, but didn’t realize until I’d gotten to the pie tins scene! Lol! It was definitely worth rereading! And since I didn’t leave a review last time, here it is! I highly recommend this series and all the authors in this series!
The last book in the Brides of Chance series is my favorite, mainly because Bryce Chance is my favorite Chance brother I got to know. I loved the chemistry between him and Daisy, but I loved his relationship with Daisy’s son, Jamie, even more.

I found this book on Amazon for the Kindle at at really good price. I like to read books about Kentucky since I live there. I did not read the other books in the series and started with this one. I think I would have prefered to read the others before reading this one, but it can stand alone. I really enjoyed the characters, but felt the story was a little boring at times. I loved the ending and how the author incorporated leting God help you and direct you in life instead of trying to do it all alone.
I liked this story. Fun, romantic, and very clean. Daisy doesn't need any help. She is caring for her handicapped son, and is doing it without help. Bryce Chance has such a quiet way with her son, will Daisy open her heart? Good, clean and interesting.
