One Pea

Rate this book
In a quest to find a true princess to marry the prince, seven sisters from another kingdom are invited to stay at the royal castle and sleep on a pile of mattresses with a pea under one of the mattresses. The law states that a true princess will be able to sense the pea and not be able to sleep on such an uncomfortable bed. The ranting and raving about the horribly lumpy bed reveals that there are many true princesses! With so many choices, how will the prince decide who he should marry? A fun addition to your children's bedtime stories. Great for kids 4-8 years old.

I much prefer this rendition of "The Princess and the Pea" to the original. Just because a person is born into royalty does not mean that they have to act snobbish, and I love how this short story points that out.

My child loved this book and I loved the lesson where values and manners were rewarded.

Free ebook. The story is not bad; the photo-illustrations are not my cup of tea.

My 3 year old loved it

Very sweet change to the typical Princess and a Pea story. My daughter loved the pictures of real people instead of cartoons.

This is the story of the Princess and the Pea, but the illustrations are awesome! The technique the author used is just so neat. I'd like to do something like this with/for my kids.
