Thought Florence and the gang got their happily ever after? Think again. Florence West and her new family have found safety in the hills, but the infection rages on around them. And when the virus takes one of her group, Florence will find out just how far she'll go to survive. Can they hold on to their sanctuary or will they have to let it go?
Born and raised in New Zealand, Sarah Gray spent her teenage years in Australia, where she raced go-karts, studied graphic design and then sports management, before deciding that all along she’d just wanted to be a novelist. After studying professional writing and editing in Melbourne, Sarah ended up in England where she now resides in the ever rainy Lake District working as an outdoor activity instructor and writing in her spare moments.
Wow. I don't often write anything with my reviews, but wow. I stayed up til 1am finishing this one as I couldn't stop at the end. And what a suckerpunch to finish!
I was this excited reading it and let's face it, still am that excited about it.
It's super-duper awesome. I don't know how Ms Gray gets the perfect amount of action, horror, internal reflection, humour and romance in one novel, but she does.
The way she has built the world, and in particular, the characters, I'm constantly surprised, forever intrigued and dying to know and have more.
If I could get this injected to my arm, like a drug, I so would.
Read it. You won't be sorry. I don't know if she will write a third one, but for the sake of my sanity, I really hope she does.
this trilogy gives me emotions i never thought possible. and now i have to wait for the third book...WHYYYYY! going into this series i was not expecting it to have such an impact on me as it has, this series has literally become one of my top five. i haven't once been able to guess any of the plot twists (which is a very rare thing for avid readers to do nowadays) and i think this is why i love sarah gray, her writing and these books SO much. i feel like i need a seriously good lie down after reading these books back to back, but only due to the emotional roller coaster i wasn't expecting to go through, and the pure suspense of not being able to stop bloody reading. all i want to do is go running door to door of my neighbourhood and tell anybody who will listen that they need to read this series as the next thing they do.
I can not tell you how much I enjoyed this second book. Absolutely fabtastic!
Again, a few minor spelling and grammatical errors. They can be overlooked though as this writer can really tell a story.
I am dying (pardon the pun) to know what happens with the group and find out some more about Trouble.
I was sad to not be able to find this author on Twitter! I would have liked to hear about any updates regarding the progress of the final book! Please hurry!!
This fast paced and action packed story starts out with a twist that ends up being the driving force of the book. Even with our familiar friends and familiar enemies this book still feels like a whole new story with new challenges and new learnings that still leave us questioning everything we know. It is really well written and it’s very hard to put down, I’m not usually much of a reader but I read it in under 5 sessions. I liked the story, the location and the way it is all brought together. The ending was great and was really true to Flo’a personality. Especially the incredulousness that anyone would think she would make any different decision. Great fun book. Highly recommend. Definitely a good pairing to Arcadium.

When one of Florence’s group is infected and turns, they are compelled to join with Jacob to check on one of the other survivor havens. 2nd book in the Arcadium series.
A quick and easy read that really hit all my zombie loving buttons. Florence is such a resourceful young heroine that I just have to root for her, and while Jacob’s secret wasn’t exactly a big surprise I enjoyed getting to know that character better. I do hope there’s more of him in the conclusion. There are some tense zombie action scenes, the Skylight facility was interesting, I liked the character development and how much of a badass Trouble is, and I didn’t see the ending coming. Can’t ask for much more than that in a fun zombie book.
I loved ths book. It’s just as good as the first one. In-depth characterization, thoughts and feelings, humor, good writing style, and plot twists and turns. Flo is just as real as Cassie (5th Wave) and Maximum Ride.
The journey continues, minus one of their group??? They meet Jacob and continue on to safety.??? Finished the book and was as good as the first. Third book doesn't come out until 2015. Will be anxiously be waiting for the last one. Hope it comes out sooner. Sarah Gray is a very good author, will read more of her books.
A solid second instalment of the trilogy which would be nearer to a 4 than a 3 if not for some too obvious elements of the plot. I'm still very interested in where book 3 will take the survivors and hopefully it won't be too long a wait.
Nice story. Although written with teens in mind, there is enough in the book for adults to get into the book as well. A couple of really good twists throughout. Last book should prove to be a good finale to the trilogy.
This was a great story I already bought book 2 I really enjoyed each character and what they brought I really enjoy good reads it opens me up to all kinds of new writers
