Would you think I was stupid if I told you I thought this was a collection for insomniacs? I didn't realise Sleepers were a publishing house. I enjoy short story anthologies, this was no exception nor was it particularly exceptional. I finished it a couple of days ago & alas, I have already forgotten most of it or it has jumbled up with the next anthology on my list. Read it & make notes as you go if you wish to write a decent review.

I'm a contributor to this!

Favourites:

Madeleine Griffith's Lungfish - I feel as though I have sat in those brown velveteen armchairs.

Isabelle Li's Narrative of Grief - About sadness in the body. I envy the dignity and directness of this piece.

Anthony Lynch's The Good Agent - a reluctant real estate agent's complex flirtation with a reluctant buyer.

Lucy Treloar's Wrecking Ball - about addiction and alienation in the family. Rings painfully true.

Laurie Steed's Skin I'm In - mental illness in the family; sibling love and ambivalence.
