R.F. Allie is a young author, born in a far far away land of magic and love who is trying to find her place in the world.
She wrote, a lot, mostly for herself and her friends. It went from short stories, to fan fictions to poetry.
It was only recently, that she'd been encouraged to share her words with the world.
We all have one dream, search for one thing, a love so powerful and passionate that it consumes us.
R.F.Allie picked up her first book at age five, on hr father's impressive book shelves, and ever since that moment, she fell in love with the way words can reach people in the most unique way, different from spoken words, more rich with feelings.
Today, she has a story, this story might seem unique to some, common to others, but in the end, it is a story about an epic love, in our modern days.

Sigh. Another 50/Bared to You knock off. I'm really sick of reading about 21 year old virgins meeting billionaires who can't get enough of them and are dominants in bed. Doesn't any of this shit happen to say, a 30 year old? Can't we make it a little more realistic? Guess I'm sick of seeing all the 20 year olds get all the sex, someone throw us 30-somethings some love. Sheesh. I know, it's fiction. So what.

Anyway, rant over. I don't know if this was an unedited version that I have or what but it was freaking full of typos and wrong words and it was a hot mess. One chapter ended really weirdly and abruptly. It needs some heavy editing work. A decent story but it has been done and done again, and better. Not that this sucked and I liked that he was a dom but not as freaking INSANE as Christian Grey *shudder*. I'm a sucker so I'll probably finish the series but I have read better. 2 1/2-3 stars.

Good God!! I just finished this book... And...
description
So yeah, I stumbled upon it on my favorite genre, relatively new (Since it's a new author) some 200 people wanted to read and one good review. One good review was all I needed; but I was still
description
description
But I bought it anyway.. It's freakin' Forth of July and this book was all the firework that I needed
description
description
('sigh')
So let me start by introducing Mr. Landon Davis: One F["&@Ing hot lawyer, gazillionnaire mogul and... Oh yeah did I say HOT???
description
description

So yeah he does come with his good looks, his intense gaze and a set of rule. He's brilliant, successful and cocky.

description
“You know, for a very successful, off-the-charts rich, handsome lawyer and businessman; you got some very stupid questions.” He laughed; his face lit up. “So I’m handsome now, am I?” He commented amused. “You know damn well that you are; with all those women drooling over you; yesterday, they were really pathetic.” I said with a hint of jealousy. “They don’t know that you can’t judge a book by its cover; once we get to know you; you’re really not that interesting.” His smile broadened; ever the cocky bastard. “Is that so Miss Excitement?” He abruptly pushed his awakened erection inside me.
I was like this during this particular scene:
description
Speaking of Miss Excitement. Her name is Clea Dane, she's twenty-one and falls into the virgin cliché. Well, not really; since she had her reasons and you can totally feel for her pain. Nonetheless; she a frustrating piece of work. sometimes, I would stop reading and stare at my kindle wondering...
description
description
She's pretty, very loved and supported. She has a group of some amazing friend, that made me die with jealousy. They were really some bad-ass friends; especially Jude. I'm totally in LOVE with him. The story is told from the heroine POV; Clea had gone through something that we could define as traumatizing, and when she met Landon, she'd initially decided to steer clear from him and his looks and the dangerous effect he had on her. But at some point; she stood up for herself and decided to take control of her life and try to see what would happen... She was happy; then disappointed, then angry then horny and then frustrating. She was seriously all over the place.

Then it hit me, and at that moment, my happiness faded. Was that what people called… "Did you pity sex me?" I didn't process the words; I said it like I felt it. "Pity sex you?" Landon was baffled; but it didn’t reassure me. "For fuck sake Clea, stop demeaning yourself!" That time he sounded angry.
description
Yeah Gosling! Right there with you buddy

I mean SERIOUSLY? What The Hell Is Wrong With You?
description
description
Yeah Matty!! Tell her
description
I Totally Agree! Sometimes, I wished she was in front of me just so I could...
description
description

So anyway, you can still overlook those things when she stands up for herself and give the cocky bastard a piece of her mind or when she gets totally self absorbed. Things get better and better... Along the read, all you would discover about Landon was that he'd been hurt in the past and it really scarred him. You get right on that as soon as you start the prologue. You get a glimpse at his motives concerning Clea and then... BAM! it hits you out of nowhere that she might manage to mend him. He can be bossy and arrogant. He can also be gentle and attentive.. Did I mention he also sings?
description
description
description

Again; you don't discover much about him in this first book. He's mysterious and private. He's hot, successful and has some serious game. But he's very possessive of Clea and that's his first ground Rule. When things get heavy, he needs her to tell him that she loves him, and she really wants to.. But giving everything she'd went through, she's scared and tries to communicate her feelings in other ways. I wasn't expecting it to end like that, it just kept taking me closer, and closer and closer and then...
The author did something like that...
description

Or Like This

description
description

And I got all...
description
description

And Then...
descriptiondescription

Yes, really fine. Look at me I'm a poster girl for Happy and Calm
description

I absolutely loved this book. All those of you who are addicted to the kind of stories where the super hot filthy rich guy falls for the girl next door and addicted to all the books that followed the 50 shades riot, and are looking for the James Cavendish, Jesse Ward, Gideon Cross and Christian Greys of this world, but with some extras, less tortury, more witty; Then Landon Davis is your MAN!
This year sounds promising as I also wait for my next read and Gabriel's return.

No publication date yet for the second book of the series.

But I really Can't wait.

3.5 So look this was pretty good. I did love Jude and Ryan, Clea's best friends. I enjoy the story even though it is very similar to other books out there.

Clea is a virgin.. check
Clea become a nympho... check
Clea has secrets.. check
Landon has secrets that are not revealed at all.. check
Landon is a billionaire.. check
Landon is stalkerish... check
Landon has serious possessive and dominating qualities.. check
Landon has a major jealous streak.. check

Okay so even though all of that feels the same as every book about a billionaires out there I did mostly enjoy it. My issues were with the errors. There were exclamation points everywhere!!!! I mean everywhere! It began to drive me crazy. The word apprehension was used a lot. At times it didn't make any sense. Some sentences didn't make any sense. Now I did read somewhere that it was updated and errors were corrected. Unfortunately the one I read is the first issued. There is a sequel coming out sometime without a date. I will read it just because I am curious to see where this goes. But I wont be jumping up to buy it right away.

Wow, what a book. A great story line and some definite parallels to Fifty Shades of Grey. I love Landon, he is hot and goes after what he wants which is Clea. Clea is damaged goods but finds herself falling in love with him. Throw in some great friendships with a gay couple and Jenna is it is a unique read. I love how's he author hints a Landon's past but we don't find out about it. The only thing that annoyed me were the grammatical errors but a great book. I can't wait for the sequel Ignite Me.

Not only is the storyline unoriginal, but the grammar and syntax errors made this book literally confusing. I often had to reread paragraphs just to figure out what the author was actually trying to say. Someone really needed to edit this book. At one point, the author the word "dices" was used as the plural for die.

Of course, as usual, I still have the up-most respect for the author. Not everyone has the determination to finish writing an entire book, and there were definitely parts that were enjoyable. Perhaps they just need to look into a new editor.

Sadly, a DNF... I liked it at first, though I abhor first person narrative, but was unable to muster past the looming and large grammatical errors, words used out of context, etc. They are tinted windows, not tainted, and that's the one I remember... Comes across as a very elementary written piece of work, though I admire the author's drive to put forth the effort to get it out there... Reminded me toooooo much of the book that shall not be named, so much so that I wonder if it wasn't a PTP fan fiction work. Needs to be gone over more than once with several different fine-tooth combs.

After downloading the edited version, I felt the need to re-write my review...having no distractions made all the difference. I actually liked the story line. It may be similar to some of my other favorites in the genre but isn't that what anyone who reads a particular genre is looking for? With that being said, I now have a HUGE crush on Landon. Reading it the second time around was 100% more enjoyable than the first. Can't wait to see what happens next!! Now I'm excited!

I'm actually glad that I'm one of the first persons to review this book. Let me start by telling the story of how I came to read it and what made me inclined to review it.
(I have no gif for this review, indulge my phone Gif-Lovers)
So I've been hacked along some 6 millions others about four weeks ago, I had no access to my Facebook, Google yahoo nothing zilch... and it also included my GR account who had something along 20000 titles.
So I was bumped out and really furious and maybe a little depressed for a couple of days, then I chose to no longer have a fb account (big waste of my time); but made a new goodreads.
So there I was, reconstructing my to-reads and read book from the listopias and I found this book.
And thank God I did!
I'm really not into reading new authors; I added it thinking I'll check the reviews once it's out and see whether I should read it or not.
Yesterday, my little brother had been admitted for a bone marrow transplant; we've been waiting on it for a long, long time. Thank god it happened.
So dear R F Allie, I am writing this review only because I'm a superstitious person, and yesterday just around the time I'd clicked the "buy now" button, a nurse barged in the waiting room to announce that the surgery was successful.
Anyhow; I still have some issues with your book, but it really is a good story, it's clear that you're really going to take your time to reveal what hides beneath the enticing and hot Mr Davis; with whom I'm completely in love with J-BTW.
Clea Dane on the other hand.
How do I say this without a GIF!?
BOY isn't she frustrating; I mean yes I understand that she's traumatized, but that doesn't give her the right to be so melodramatic. I won't say how many times I wanted to slap her or hit her with a big fat bat, because according to the author's blog; she really cares about them, nonetheless, she's really whiny and full of self doubt and bitchy on top of everything else; especially for someone who claims herself cured and renewed and all that BS.
I'm not through the story yet; but close to the end, and other than some recurring Typos; which I guess would be normal for a first timer, I really loved the story, it's fresh and fun, and boy is Landon Davis a cocky A-hole
I loved that his issues are only insinuated and not revealed, especially not revealed through some beating session or an alcoholic breakdown; it keeps me going and fueled to read the second book.
One other thing; this is really a book about friendship; many authors seem to downplay the friendships; unless they're thinking about making a spin-off, they only focus on the best girl friend or the gay friend, but in this book, you'll find a true friendship, not just one friend as we really don't live in an eternal high school; we grow and make many friends and all of them are close. In this book the cliche remains the same as there's an actual gay couple, a best friend, a fun neighbor and two crazy chicks that made me laugh once or twice attracting some attention from the nurses.
And there's a bond, a really disturbing bond between the lead and her gay best friend, his name is Jude. You understand its aspects halfway through the read; but it still authentic somehow.
I'll be finishing the book later today while staying with my little brother, and I might edit this review, but overall it was a good read and I wanted to say this because I'm sure that no matter what the author said she's going to check her sales and downloads and reviews, so there you go, i'm in an encouraging mood...
Very good book, amusing and light and passionate and I'm actually looking forward to the sequel.
Edited:
Oh boy, that was an amazing ending. I actually expected the rape attempt but not everything else. I don't know if I will be able to choose between Landon and Jude; would such a best friend trump an amazing lover?
I don't know yet; but now I'm definitely regretting to have read it this fast; but that was a great ending; I have a feeling the next book is going to be a real roller-coaster ride.
Please get right on that!!
God, how it scares me...
Clea is still frustrating though; although I completely understand her reaction now.

This book totally "consumed me"! Let me first say that I read the first edition, unedited, and really the story was so very good that I could have not cared less. Clea's friends are fantastic, especially Jude. Who doesn't want that kind of BFF relationship. And Landon, really, I could visualize him in my head (swoon). He was everything i need in a fiction man in order for me to fall in love with him - rich - some sort of dark past - panty dropping gorgeous - passionate - possessive - dominate - excellent in bed - and caring beyond measure. He was the real deal for me. I did want to smack Clea every once in a while because she was so insecure but seriously, who wouldn't be around him? Anyway, I could not put this book down, I read it at work, while I was cooking dinner, when I was falling asleep in bed (two hours and a neck cramp later I still couldn't put it down). I finally finished it last night and was ready to find the second book, only to freak out and realize that it's not out yet! Ugh! I'm dying here! Nonetheless at least I finally got to bed.

OK, here's the thing.... I liked this book. I liked the story, I liked Landon Davis, I liked the mysterious past stuff but the editing killed it for me. There were some times when I had to read a sentence a few times to try to figure out what the author was trying to say. I do have to admit that through most of the story I was swearing I wouldn't read the follow up but by the end I caved and now I'm looking forward to the next story

I'm so struggling with this, the editing is killing me. I know everyone makes mistakes but....
Also Landon's kinda cool but her.. Très annoying. It's a shame because it had some potential, I'll try again after a break.

This book is definitely reminiscent of several other books of the similar theme that's out there right now, ex., 50 Shades (hello, lip biting?!) and Gabriel's Inferno to name a few. In spite of all that, I still enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I wanted to love this story... but couldn't. I felt like I was reading 50 Shades, Bared To You & This Man all in one book. Too many times I thought "wait I have already read this line before in another book" that I ended up closing the book and it will more then likely stay like that.

DNF

I can't get into this. There is some strange formatting at times but there is nothing I can spot wrong with the writing. It just doesn't grab my attention.

I am disappointed. Between the grammatical and spelling errors, abrupt ending and basic lack of point or purpose, this book failed in my opinion. It was boring. It lacked vision, originality, purpose, cause ... it lack spark! I finished reading this novel because I kept procrastinating to finish, so I figured it's time I start a new one.

It's size didn't help either, because if it was short and boring then that would be different that it being so long and boring. Short, we could have said maybe it needed some more pages. Long, it just needed a re-write and a lot of editing.

The author used a lot of proper words in place of the usual dialect. I have no problem with this, as I am all for learning new things, but sometimes they came off as odd and didn't help the story in any way. I also thought, that someone who spent so much time on a detail like word choice, would have spent some time to get her characters names right. There was a heap of mix up between the main characters surnames. Don't use two 'D' named surnames if your gonna constantly mix them up. It's just wrong, and confusing as hell!

I hated the nicknames between Clea and her friends. Her character also never appealed to me and I was unable to relate or really warm to her. She was confident but unsure. Shy but bold. At times, she is on top of the world with how confident she is and a next she is escaping in the back of a cab because she thinks Landon is about to breakup with her. She almost seemed bipolar. She also occasionally has self esteem and money issues when she feels like it.

Landon is a cliche. His personality didn't shine because he didn't have one. He could have been any dominant male billionaire. There was nothing to separate him from the rest. Irrespective of their similarities, Christian Grey is no Gideon Cross. Then again, 'Bared to You' is no 'Fifty Shades of Grey'. However, 'Consume Me' tried to hard to fall into almost all the patterns of billionaire alpha male novels.

The main thing it had to separate it was it's lack of direction and bland cliffhanger. I have no clue what to expect next and I don't care. It all seems inconsequential and boring if you ask me. The story kept going and I kept waiting and nothing happened. I can't even notify a proper climax.

The drama wasn't drama. The ex that seemed to matter is more a family friend and the ex that might be a hurricane to this relationship was fleetingly mentioned. I don't know, but I am not impressed nor was I entertained. I had a few laughs, but that's about it.

Clea has a large variety of friends, that vary in every aspect of her life and the ones closest to her are like family. I love that set and believe that they were the redeeming quality of this novel. If they weren't calling her by those ridiculous nicknames, then I had a good enough time with them.

I also believe that most of the conversations started out of no where and went no where. This whole book seemed pointless. However, I like giving chances and I would like to get to know these characters, especially Landon. So I will wait on book 2 to see if this series might get better.

I'm not even going to mention the sex scenes. Let's just say it was bearable. As is, this novel is just an idea in need of proper execution. Her french was good also, so she gets points for that.

The book was awesome but the author has to work a little more on 2nd and 3rd book it has its flaws like every other book but I loved it.I seriously can't wait for the 2nd book. Worst thing about this 1st book is its long. Toooo lonnnggg. The storyline, characters were good. I couldn't believe the author explains 2weeks of their life, where the girl loses her virginity, discovers shit about her family, falls in love with the guy and evn discovers that he loves her but she doesn't confess even when the guy asks her face to face to confess it.

Ohh the guy.. Fuck me!

Landon David...Grey eyes,Greek god ass..
“He was made by angels. Dark gaze and built like a god.”

He's definitely an Eyespasm. He's sex. I loved his character. It might be similar to 50 shades but it had its uniqueness. I know their are other similar novel but Landon is just... Landon Freaking Davis !!! he's different than Christian is many ways. The author concentrates on revealing their love but doesn't use BDSM even though he's a Dom.

The story is little different because of the introduction. Ofcourse he's a Dom but their isn't anything kinky. Talking about our heroine,She's the dumbest women in whole New York I guess. The author tries to show that the girl is independent. Bullshit. I hated her character so much. It wasn't boring or something but the girl is soo dumb it exasperates you, exhaustes the life out of you.

All of a sudden when the point where she tries to confess her love, the author ends the story and tells us to fucking wait for the 2nd book.. The story could have ended in different and MUCH better way
