I am excited to write this short story about Lorelei to you. The story of her past has been one that has intrigued me ever since I wrote Lacrimosa. And man...there are things that happen that are relevant to things that will happen in Dominus. Who knew!?!

I was pretty excited about reading this short story as I have a vested interest in it, as I named a character in this series! This story has so much in it for only 5 chapters and they are very powerful. The book is told from Lorelei’s POV and it is focused on one event in her life. She needs to make some important decisions that will not only affect her life, but those of her family. What they decide in Enigma will shape them all to be the people they are destined to be in the modern day.

Enigma was an intense read and we meet some of the characters at such a young age. Seeing children that are only five years old, that are so confidant and sure of themselves really makes me proud! I know that they are going to grow up and be beautiful people that will make a difference in the world!

I loved seeing this early glimpse of Lorelei’s life and to be able to meet both Ellie and Tristan through her eyes. I know I am going to love Christine’s version of Tristan and the first chapter of Dominus at the back of the book has left me wanting to see more!

It feels like forever since I last entered Christine Fonseca's Requiem world, but it's finally back!

As always, Christine's gift for excellent storytelling pulled me right into the narrator's mind. This time I got to experience the Requiem world from Lorelei's point of view and I have to say it was quite a journey. Enigma is filled with the characteristic heart-wrenching, nerve-wrecking storytelling I have come to expect, and love, in her books. It was definitely a great and welcomed addition to the story.

Oh so short and not so sweet. I have decided that Christine just loves to torture her characters. This was a little bit about Lorelei, and her brother and sister on the run from Azza. We got a little bit of their seer history, and the significance of the winged necklace. Cannot wait for Dominus!

The other short story at the end of Libera Me, Enigma helps explain Lorelei’s (Nesy’s sister from when she was human the first time) story.
