And when the beginning of the end comes, tell me, my love. Will you still be there with me?

Tanith Quinn is a vampire with a lot on her mind. After all, it's hard acting like a human when you're so used to being a monster. Between fighting off her constant blood lust, a witch with more than just friendship on his mind, and a seductive Were King with a thirst for her body, she's a walking time bomb. And that's not to mention the hunter who's determined to take her and every other ancient vampire in the city down, as well as an old friend, one she thought long dead, who would like nothing more than to get her revenge.

One minute, the hunter. The next, the prey.

But Tanith has a few tricks up her sleeve...and she doesn't mind using them to save the ones she loves.

Even if it means she has to take on the world.

Just no

The book opens to a female vampire leaving the bed of her last dinner. Turns out he's not your average guy, but the alpha of all werewolves. He basically tells her he loves her and that she's different from other vamps. She leaves and goes to her nightclub looking for her next dinner. Only the guy turns out to be her best friend who's disguised himself to look like someone else because he's tired of waiting on her to realize that he's who she really wants. When she discovers his perfidy, she tells him that he's ruined everything. She sends him away. He goes to a sex club where the proprietess nearly kills him. When she rescues him she apologizes to him. She blames herself for all his woes and he blames her too. He's an idiot who should be begging for her forgiveness. I'm getting sick of authors who condone and encourage the abuse of women. What kind of message are you sending to impressionable young girls?

This sex was smoking hot but the characters were disjointed. Almost as if the author wrote a chapter, waited a few weeks then wrote the next chapter just from memory of the first chapter.

Despite the issues with this story, the author is very talented. There was NO head hopping, the pace was perfect and the romance wonderful. This book is a solid three stars, I’d even bump it up to a three and a half if I could. She is a good writer. This book is just, well, disjointed. (I know I used that word about three times but it just fits. )

I’ve read a book from her pervious and enjoyed it so keep a look out for more from this author.

Never seemed to get anywhere

Tabitha is a 500 year old vampire and she is not the usual vampire. The characters are introduced quickly and they are not likeable at all. Jamison her friend tricks her and then blames her for being tortured by another vampire. Kiernan is introduced as the shifter king but no one seems to respect that. Everyone has sex but no emotions seems to be involved and they do not last. Horrible on all counts.

~~~~~~~~~~Julie's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Tanith loves make company and that keeps the blood lust at bay, barely. Kieran is an alpha wolf that wants her but the fight all the time. Jamison is a witch and her best friend but when he tricks her, things take a deadly turn. A fight between clans tears her club up but when she finds out that Jamison is missing, she will stop at nothing to find him. Can their friendship survive? Will she survive the outcome? Excellent read. Great storyline.
Sassy
I gave it 3 stars because it was a short story with a decent story line. The vampire leading lady owned a vamp night club and used it as a ploy to feed on handsome men. Her character is sassy, strong, with a thick wall around her heart. Her best friend Jamison, human witch, would love to more than just friends. Between him and the Alpha that has also set eyes on her, Ms. Quinnipiac has her hands full.
I downloaded Waiting for Darkness as a free book from Amazon. Interesting and unique storyline, but the characters were somewhat one-dimensional and worldbuilding lacked detail. I couldn't sympathize with Tan, who was kinda morally loose and lacked a sense of self-preservation. The story also ends without resolution, so expect a cliffhanger.
She’s the owner of the hottest club in the city
Especially if you’re a vampire or werewolf or witch. Business is booming, she has a great staff. Too bad her personal life isn’t as well run as her club.
This is the first time I’ve read anything from this author. I wasn’t sure about the book; but I decided to try the book out. I really enjoyed it. I was sad that I finished it so quickly.
I loved it so much I wish the rest of the series was on iBooks But they are not and it’s sad that they’re only on Amazon. And I would love to seeTanith finding out who exactly what she is like her Real mother was A goddess and her Real father was vampire royalty and try to keep her a secret from the others so she left her with someone you know and protect her and she’s actually immortal that she cannot be killed she cannot have Children either and she turns her to lovers so they could spend eternity with her
***copy provided by publisher through NetGalley (in Bad Boys After Dark set)***
This was DNF before I reached the end of the first chapter. A female vampire who no one can resist, not even those who hate her guts, fucking her was through town...That's all I got. If there was any other story in between, I simply don't care.
Waiting for Darkness, book written by Fionn Jameson. I read the description and was attracted to this book like a fly to a light. I mean, the whole supernatural subject is my favorite and, having found a book not directed for YA, I gave it a try. I mean, what harm could come from something new? I began reading and was actually interested in the story. It began well, it was a good beginning but as I continued reading it left me with nothing. I couldn't even connect with Tanith, I didn't get her...at all. The story itself has a good potential, the author just needs a little bit more of experience. I liked the way Jameson described, I could literally picture everything, but it is missing something. It lacked of substance, like a concise story. I think the book is too short, if it were a bit longer the author could have the opportunity to develop it more, to develop the characters (they pop out of the blue), I can't really say how any of the characters are, not even Tanith (other than being indecisive and not really confident). I give this book three stars only because the story has potential, the author can work a bit more on her writing style, organize the ideas a bit, she can make it work and make a good series out of it. I just hope this is true and I can get more of this story from Bite....
Fionn Jameson has a style of writing that draws the reader in. She creates strong characters with believable relationships to other characters in the stories she writes. This book is an introduction to a series that will star Tannith Quin, an unusual 500 year old vampire who cares more about humans than most vampires. In this book we learn about her current status, what she does for a living, who she interacts with and also meet two of the males that no doubt will be important in the future books about Tannith – a werewolf king and a magician. This book left me wanting to know what will happen next even though I didn’t always identify with Tannith or understand her totally. I was given a copy of this book by librarything in exchange for an honest review.
Received this book for an honest review from the author.
This is my first book by Fionn Jameson. The author wrote a interesting story about a vampire who is different from her counterparties. She is able to walk in the sun and no longer enjoys killing. It is like she is getting her humanity back.
She will become involved with a were wolf and a witch because of her actions in the past which will have devastating repercussions in her future.
The book ends in a cliffhanger but hoping the author will complete the story soon.
For me this was a good story even though quite a short book it finished as "to be continued", sadly, this was not a good thing when you don't have the follow up book (I had this as part of the series Bad Boys After Dark) so would have expected the books to have run in order and the follow up to be included.
I felt that I hardly knew the characters well enough for the events in this book to mean anything. It felt like it was supposed to be really epic, when it really wasn't, and I didn't feel much of anything really.
Wish I could give less than 1 star. The intro seemed intriguing but then it reveals itself to be a darn story of the tough improbable she-hero half vampire that we could definitely do without. It's book like this that make you wish people begun to write proper stories again.
