Psychological thriller about a loner named Denis who obsesses over author Joshua Norton. They look alike and Denis believes Joshua lives a better life than he deserves.
Mike Dellosso is the author of numerous novels of suspense, including Kill Devil, Centralia, Darkness Follows, Darlington Woods, and Scream. Mike is a popular conference and workshop teacher and an adjunct professor of creative writing. He lives in Hanover, PA, with his wife and five daughters. Mike is also a healthcare worker and survivor of colon cancer.
This was a little different from Mike's normal horror. Aaron Reed probably had a hand in that. Though both are Christian authors, they never get preachy about anything, but use a twist-filled psycho-thriller short story to deliver a necessary message on self-forgiveness. A well-written, very recommended read.
A good short story by Mike Dellosso and Aaron Reed. I liked the premise and there was some creepy moments. The ending was satisfying, though I saw some of it coming. I wonder if it would have been a 5-star if fleshed out more, even if just to the length of a novella. But I did read this in under an hour and enjoyed the quick pace.
This was really good. I did not figure out the plot twist and was very surprised by it. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a quick, short read.
Mirror Image is an amazingly well written short story by Mike Dellosso and Aaron Reed that will feed your hunger for thrills. The story is thought provoking, chilling and creative while delivering a message of hope and forgiveness. My hopes are always high whenever Mike Dellosso comes out with a new story and I am never disappointed. A five star read for sure!
Very short story that I enjoyed very much. I sort of thought it would end this way but, it also held surprises for me. I like the way the authors wove this story together and makes you think something that isn’t true. Very clever and interesting book. You will enjoy it very much. I recommend it for the story line and the ending.
This is my own book and no one asked me to review it.
Great read that until the end (which I won't ruin) was so realistic that it sounded like it came straight out of a psych patient's file. Nice collaboration on the story. I like short stories like these, because they are easy to read in one sitting, so you can completely lose yourself in it without interruption or having to "cut yourself off" for the night. Keeps the "creep" factor in tact!
