Katie leaving is all she could do. Living with what Chris had to be front row to see, Katie could no longer watch Chris's heart break any longer.

Leaving sounds so easy but both Katie and Chris experience a pain neither can get over. As Katie continues to just exist in her life, Chris fights for the woman he has loved from first sight. He embarks into her past and confronts Katie's demon head on and finds out everything she thought had happened to her in her two years of captivity is NOT what she thought its was.

What Chris finds out is beyond heartbreaking and will either shatter what is left of his wife and their marriage or it will bring them together stronger and better than before.

"I will love you always and forever."

The first book took my breath away. This one stole my heart. This was the perfect conclusion to Katie's story. She overcame so much and came on the other side stronger and even more likeable than she was before. I'm also glad we got to see how Chris handled the aftermath.

In Lisa Calell's much-anticipated sequel to her novel Disconnected, Reconnected takes up six months after its predecessor ends, after the abused Katie Calder has left her husband Chris because of what her abuser, Casey, has done in front of him.

Katie is promoting her new book, living in Boston, when her husband shows up at a signing in the West Coast, asking to try to reconcile. The trial to convict Casey is in four weeks, and he has some new information about the baby girl that Casey told her she miscarried while he had held her captive when she was a teen. The baby was a boy...and he's alive.

How can Katie cope with this, when she and her therapist, Dr. Jamieson, have come so far since the last incident? How can she have had a child in the world and not known about it? And how can she get him in her life now?

In a book full of twists, turns and three-sixties, Ms. Calell keeps the readers on their toes as each page of Reconnected reveals some new shock for Katie, Chris and even Dr. Jamieson. It's a story for everyone, but mothers and those who are/have adopted children will have a very special connection with this book.

While the last book dealt with rape and PTSD, this one deals with love and forgiveness. I couldn't put it down once I began it. My favorite of it all, however, was how natural Katie and Chris's relationship is. It isn't like they're two characters made for a book: it's more like Ms. Calell had a hidden camera in a real couple's household and simeply transcribed what she saw and heard. That's how real and heartfelt they are.

This book was one million percent worth waiting for. Fans of Disconnected won't be disappointed and new fans will be enthralled and hurry to pick up the first in the series.

Wow where to begin. I haven’t felt this much for a book and the characters in the book in a long time. It was raw, emotional, break your heart in a million pieces but then the love and support throughout the book between Chris and Katie was breathtaking.

Katie having left her husband 6 months ago to try to cope with the things that have happened in her life. She feels this was the best thing to do for him. She does not want to cause him anymore pain and feels that he would be better off without her in his life, that he will find a new love to make happy memories with.

Chris, Katie’s husband never gave up on her. She is his lighthouse, his home. Even after all this time, he still needs and wants her. He used the time that Katie was gone to work through some of his issues with things that happened to Katie and him. He knew that he had to be there to support her even when she did not know it. He learns truths about the situation and brings them to light for Katie.

Katie on tour to promote her book doesn’t realize that Chris is ready to move back into her life. After all this time, just hearing his voice, she still loves him with all her heart. She is unable to deny him when he asks to meet and talk.

As things from the past come to light, Katie and Chris must learn to move together to make it work as a whole. They make a great team.

I felt so bad for Katie and Chris. The things Katie had to suffer through broke my heart. I cried several times throughout the book. Chris showed us what true love really means, no matter what you always fight for who you love. Looking forward to more from this author.

Was given this book for an honest review...

Well after reading the first one, i can say this second one was a great finish to the story.

Wow, man this one has A LOT of emotion running through it. Katie finally feels, and she is finally trying to get back her life, from how the first book ended.

I don't like spoiling books and i won't, but you will definitely want to read this second book, especially when the first one leaves you wanting to know what happens.

Everything will be revealed and its a great ending. Loved both books.

This book was even better than the first. I was so anxious to get reading to find out what happened to Chris and Katie. The author did not disappoint.

Each chapter has new parts to the story and it definitely made you keep reading. The author added in some brilliant twists.

Not too many follow-ups are as good as the first but the author nailed this one.

I would definitely recommend this series to other readers. It was a great love story and proved that love is worth fighting for.

I read this book so quickly and could not put it down. The 2nd book about a lady named Katie and her traumatic past. You really need to read the first to fully know what’s happened. Even though it was a short book it got to the point and really kept you in the moment. For a new author I think these are great. Not mastermind books that will set the world on fire but who cares. For someone who likes reading they are both brilliant. Well done and I really hope the author writes more!

The characters are well rounded and very real you feel the emotions of the book if you haven't read the first then stop and start at the beginning but clear your weekend you won't want to put this down

Interesting book to read. I wonder if Dr. Jamison knew before hand that Katie was the biological Mum to her son. I am glad that Katie got her happy ever after. The character of Casey was greatly portrayed. What kind of man raped his partner and well kidnap the baby right under her nose.

Sigh.... So here's the deal.... It's a good book.... A good plot.... But I have such a hard time with the British slang in American books. Plus the author dropped a HUGE plot point and then just left it unanswered.... Very annoying!

Sequel for the book Disconnected but very predictable and a bit boring. I enjoyed the first book but couldn't wait to end this one.
