John has served as a church planter and pastor for over ten years. He was raised in Jackson, Mississippi and after a summer in Loveland, CO decided to head to the West Coast. While in Mill Valley, CA, he earned a Masters Degree in Divinity (theology) and found a California girl that was kind enough to marry him.

Today, John and J.D. have 3 girls and live in Central Mississippi. John serves as the pastor of Traceway Church and also serves as the Communications Director at GenerousChurch

John's first book is Giving Away the Collection Plate and it explores the work of missional discipleship. For one year, Traceway Church gave away all of their offerings to the hurting of their city. Noy only did God teach them incredible patience through this project, but He also gave them a unique perspective on His own generosity.
