John opens a can of worms, leaving Elsie heartbroken. Elsie quickly retreats from the charity ball. She shares a lift with a fellow guest from the ball. It becomes apparent that he know Carlos, he warns Elsie that she must re-neg on the contract and forget all about Carlos. It is at this point that Elsie becomes fully aware of how she really feels about the whole Carlos Kincade fiasco.
Back in the hotel room Carlos and Elsie start to come to terms with what is developing between them...but he has a secret...can he tell Elsie?

While running away from Carlos, Elsie is kidnapped by Red Kincaid and warned to drop Carlos because he isn't the Kincaid heir. Why does Red care if Carlos married Elsie, if he has proff that Carlos is not the heir? The only reason I can come up with is so that Carlos can explain all the functions of Elsie's high tech thong. It has a vibrator and microphone installed! Magic!!
