Actress, New Media Geek, Gamer, Misanthrope. Voracious reader.

Felicia Day is a prolific multi-hyphenate. She's the New York Times Bestselling author of "You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost)" and the creativity book "Embrace Your Weird", and she recently wrote the Audible series "Third Eye" that won "Best Audio Drama" at the Audie Awards in 2024. She has appeared as an actor in numerous television shows such as “Supernatural”, “Eureka” and “The Magicians” and she can be heard as a voice actor in such shows as "Adventure Time" and "Monster High."

She is perhaps best known for her work in the web video world. Felicia co-starred in the internet musical sensation “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” which won an Emmy. She also created and starred in the seminal web series “The Guild” which ran for six seasons, won numerous awards for web video excellence, and spawned a hit comic book series with Dark Horse Comics. Recently, her outfit from the show was added to the Smithsonian American History collection as an example of early web media pioneering.

Felicia produced dozens of shows with her former digital company Geek and Sundry, including Wil Wheaton’s “Tabletop” and the RPG sensation “Critical Role”, and currently streams, writes and acts for her audience of six million fans across socials as she attempts to slow down now that she's a mother. (She is failing at it, badly.)

If you like the web series The Guild and if you enjoyed the character called Fawkes then this is well worth a read.

It's a little disturbing just how well Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day can write toxic masculinity. So glad we begin with a dick punch and end with furries. Need those points of transition.

Confession: I have a soft spot for Fawkes. It's some special alchemy of Wheaton's smirking charisma and the fact that Day's writing so perfectly hits the high notes of that particular kind of engaging asshole.

Also, I love the Axis of Anarchy, full stop.

I really recommend this short if you're like me in that respect. You'd think the high energy of a web series wouldn't translate to a comic, but Day makes it work with quick scene cuts and tight dialogue. I also really enjoyed the opportunity the comic book medium gives to picture the world in-game. It IS a short story at a single issue, so I'm hesitant to talk in any detail about the aspects I like for fear of giving away the best bits. But I was really happy to get another chance to spend time with the characters that help make Season 3 of The Guild my personal favorite.

Absolutely loved this. Fawkes was always such an interesting character in the web series and it was wonderful to get a little more background on him. This comic did not disappoint, Fawkes real life persona fit how you'd imagine him from his in game persona perfectly. I also really liked getting to see all of the Axis' in game characters in the artwork. They were amazing. I really hope Felicia finds the time to do more Guild comics and that we get to see Fawkes again.

A great companion to the hit web series "The Guild". Though it is Felicia's first attempt at comics, it's funny and retains much of the web series' humor and helps flesh out the characters a bit more. Also, alway helps when you have Wil Wheaton on board

An insightful look into Fawkes's life and mentality before he shows up at Megaramacon.
