Interstellar Brides Program #3

Claimed by Her Mates

Rate this book
Desperate to escape a powerful man set on making an example of her for daring to defy him, Leah’s only option is to volunteer for the Interstellar Bride Program. She is assigned to the planet Viken, but upon her arrival she is shocked to discover that she has been matched to not one huge, handsome warrior, but three of them.

Drogan, Tor, and Lev were born as identical triplets to the royal family of Viken, but they were separated at birth in a last ditch effort to prevent a catastrophic war. In the years since a fragile peace has held, but now a terrible threat from deep space is growing more pressing by the day and there is only one way for the three brothers to save their people. They must take a mate and produce a sole heir to the throne as soon as possible.

Though being shared by three men is far from what she expected when she left Earth, Leah cannot hide her intense arousal as the brothers begin to teach her what it means to be mastered by warriors of Viken. It isn’t long before her hesitance to fully submit to her dominant husbands earns Leah a sound spanking on her bare bottom, yet even that shameful chastisement merely increases her desire for them. With her own future and that of the planet at stake, will she stubbornly resist her body’s demands, or will she surrender herself to be claimed by her mates?

Not as good as I'd hoped!!!

There were elements I'm not a fan of

1) Insta love ..... I'm not a fan

2) Sex with 3 men on first sight .....not very sexy

3) Cum Power ... cum makes women crave more sex once they've had a man's cum. Not as sexy as it sounds.

Short story full of sex and light on plot development...

2.5 stars rounded down.

TL;DR: Magic cum is used as a plot device. And, big shocker, it's stupid.

Let's get this out of the way, I don't have any problem with the fact that Leah wanted to get railed by three huge dudes at once. Like good for you girl. Make sure to stretch first and drink some Gatorade after.

However, there is a point where the situation surrounding the mating has to make some semblance of sense. I wasn't really buying it here. Everything was explained away by the "magic seed" powers of the men, and I literally mean everything.

Just as an example, I don't buy the dynamic between the brothers. Keep in mind that they were separated at birth, made rulers of warring sectors, and have been trying to actively kill each other for their entire lives. Now, all of a sudden, they have to play nice and share a mate. It takes all of a chapter or so for them to all agree to be cool with one another and to also share Leah. I just don't buy that one of them wouldn't have taken the other two out the first chance they got. But, here in lies the "magic seed" scapegoat. Apparently the stupid spunk powers are stronger than the life-long hate these three brothers had for each other. Oh and, on top of that, there's also a weird baby prophecy to guilt them into getting along. How convenient!

Anything, no matter how big (pun intended) or small, was explained away with literal magic cum powers. Plot holes? Forget 'em, we have magic cum to fill them holes! It is just so dumb. It was funny, I'll give it that. And I was entertained by it at first, but it just got repetitive by the end of the book.

Since the dynamic between the characters was so unbelievable, especially between the brothers, things started to get kinda silly. Side note, I don't really love the whole siblings sleeping with the same person at the same time thing. I'm not here to yuck anyone's yum. That just doesn't appeal to me in particular. Honestly, if you take the personalities and backstory out of it, the smut was actually written well. So while the erotic activities themselves were fun to read, I had to constantly pretend that they were just some random three guys and not brothers.

Also, I could go on and on about how much of an airhead the main character was, but just thinking about her is making me dizzy. Just know she wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer and was oblivious to incredibly obvious things.

I don't really know how to rate this. On one hand, it was very easy to read and entertaining to poke fun at. Sometimes having a dose of dumb in your day can be kinda fun. On the other hand, the plot literally made no sense and the characters read pretty flat. Meh, idk 2 stars?

So when people talk about written porn they must be talking about a story like this one. Besides the excessively repetitive information for the disconnect between the male characters and the oh so magical seed (cum), I pretty much checked out about half way through this story hoping that it would get better....well it didn't (for me). The consent reminders that Leah was needed to produce the next heir and Drogan, Lev, and Tor discourse was just annoying. I have only read a few books where I think to myself "gosh this is a lot of sex" and this is one that I said it numerously. For me, all of the sex was unoriginal and filler for a book that lacks a plot.

This specific video review will be included in the October 2018 wrap-up.

So, I love a good mail order bride book. I love science fiction romance. I am happy to read erotica.

Sadly, the heroes in this book are ridiculous in terms of being poor leaders of their people. I can never like them.

So, I didn't want them to find love. Never good.

I have read book 2, which I liked, and thought I would try this one, although I am not a BDSM fan. I can put up with some, though, if the story is good otherwise. I do love mfm books, though, and Book 2 was tolerable so I had hopes.

In this story, the h is fleeing a powerful, abusive boyfriend, so she volunteers for Intergalactic Brides to escape from Earth. She is matched to the three leaders of a distant planet, who are identical warrior triplets... all good so far for a menage. The part that gives me problems is all the spanking - constant, constant spanking. Not being a person that can even imagine this being pleasurable, a little goes a loooooong way. But this was in every sex scene, and was frankly a total bore, so skimming in a short book is not good. At least they weren't beating the poor woman with floggers, whips, or belts, but still...

This is short and there wasn't much world building. There is a tiny bit of character building, but hey... identical triplets. There aren't any likeable side characters like Prince Nial from book 2 or witty dialogue.

Also, I took off on my rating because the book is over-priced at $4.99 on Amazon. It should be a $1.99 Kindle book (or a Kindle Unlimited book), because it's basically that quality level. I paid that much because I liked Book 2, but I regret the choice.

Not recommended.

If you squint you can see a plot in here but it’s mostly different ways to describe sex.

I swear this series is my guilty pleasure! It’s just all kinds of naughty. Added to which, the Sci-fi elements appeal to my inner geek.

Desperate to escape the clutches of her controlling fiancé, Leah Adams enters the Interstellar Bride Program. After rigorous *coughs* testing, she is assigned to the planet Viken.

You know where I’m going with this, don’t you? As soon as I read Viken, I conjured up marauding Vikings in my head. Only Leah doesn’t find herself matched to one warrior, but three!! Identical triplets no less!!

I personally don’t know if I would have embraced being the only woman to three men or ran for my life in the other direction lol! I mean, how do you manage to keep three men satisfied?! Oh well, I’m sure I could give it a good old college try ;)

Separated at birth to ensure their survival; Drogan, Tor and Lev are tasked with not only reuniting their planet under one ruling family, but securing their line by producing an heir to the throne as soon as possible. No pressure then. Never mind the fact that the brothers are strangers and have only just set eyes on their mate.

I really enjoyed this novella as the foursome face the usual perils of danger and treachery on the way to their version of a HEA. Some of the brothers’ backstories got muddled up at times and I found this a bit confusing but overall it was an entertaining addition to the series.

2⭐️Planet: Viken ;As usual, we open with a sex scene in the Interstellar Bride’s Testing Facility with Warden Egara, a beloved favorite repeat character. (Waiting for her story) The main character is going off-planet to escape her life on Earth with an abusive ex-fiancée and plopped onto a planet with not just one fated mate, but 3. And they are all brothers… triplets. This one has significantly more opportunity for plot than the others because the FMC is responsible for fixing feuding countries ran by said brothers on an alien planet. Plus, we get an explanation of the hive mind invaders. I was excited because Finally, a threat has been identified!! But this excitement was balled up and tossed out and replaced with the repeated use of the word “seed”. I was BORED of all the sex and “seed” and I found the MMCs unlikeable. This planet has to potential to be my least favorite. This is an insta-love, matched mate, why-choose erotica with mild bdsm and a breeding kink. Gonna keep reading until they give me a workable plot.

Oh.My. Gosh. This book was so cheesy. There were so many times I had to stop myself from actually rolling my eyes. The only reason it gets two stars instead of one is that the general plot was new for me. It is a menage yes, but I have not yet read a menage of guys that are basically strangers yet all identical brothers. So I did like the originality of the plot.

I did not like... the awful writing. The dialogue was just stupid. There was no world building. And everything was way to cookie cutter. There was nothing realistic about the characters at all. They fell in love way after like two days and 4 conversations.

Also, while this might not be odd for some - I find grown men nursing (yes like drinking milk from her boob) disturbing not sexy.

So my advice is, if you like the sample -still don't buy it. it is a short book that is horribly overpriced and way to cheesy.

So we meet Leah who seems to be having a pretty similar match to Hannah from the last book, but now we have three heroes for our money. Meet Drogon Tor and Lev, three Vikin princes who together will unite their planet if they can sire one baby together.

Enter Leah, the brood mare. Way to kill the erotica there. There is a lot of inner dialogue in this book, a lot of which is repetitive. A lot of which tries to argue against Leah’s brood mare status.

In this book semen is like magic dust securing their bond so there is a lot of it. Bodily fluid are everywhere. Everyone is in a constant state of leaking everywhere.

There is also a big concentration on preparing Leah for anal sex. It just goes on and on and on. This also involved a lot of discipline and spanking. To be honest, I just got a bit bored of it. But that could just be me!

2.0 RATING- I read Mated to the Vikens which is book 8 in the series and then came back and read this one, another Vickens romance. I was prepared to really like it but am sad to say it was my least favorite of the series so far and I've read several (have jumped around and not read in order). The premise was good but that's about all that worked for me. The "fuck huts" and the medical examinations that were required were lame. I realize this series is pure alien smut and I'm okay with that but what story this book did have fell flat and the smut was more eye roll worthy than sexy. I'm glad I didn't start the series with this book because I wouldn't be reading more. Other books in the series are definitely better.

2.5⭐️? 3 ⭐️ it’s hard for this one lol

IMO this one was more of a porn without a plot than the others? Well that’s not really true! It has a plot - which is stated clearly in the beginning lol only there is no real plot development?

It just felt like the book was going nowhere and yet a lot was happening 😂 good enjoyable smexy time thoooo, not that many nice books with this 4x couple combo out there, I loved that the characters had good chemistry. I think the original fight/rivalry between the brothers was a nice touch - supported the plot nicely and also made it interesting to see how their relationship developed with a bride thrown in mix 🤣

What's better than 1 mate? 3 mates.....identical triplets......yup, that's the life.

The triplets were split up when they were babies after their parents were killed, to bring piece to their people. But now they have to come together to run their people as one by sharing one mate and producing an heir. To say they were not happy is an understatement, but once they meet her there is no denying the connection to their mate. They just have to keep her safe from the resistance.

This book was scorching hot and just an all around great book. Love, love this series.

I wish I could give this book 0 stars. I was forced to read as part of a book club, and wowza, I wanted to puke. From the physicial and emotional abuse, to the terrible writing, this book is maybe one of the worst books I have ever read.

Grace Goodwin has ruined me for all other alien romance novels. Correction… she has ruined me for ALL romance novels. After reading her material, I find the others to be tame, dull and overall anticlimactic. I am not ashamed to admit that I have read each of her books at least twice.

The Interstellar Brides series takes place at a time where aliens are real and there are several different planets and species. There is a galactic enemy known as the hive, which is a technological species that invades planets and either kills its inhabitants or transforms their captives into one of them. A coalition was formed between the planets who are at war with the hive. Each member of the coalition is required to supply soldiers and brides to the cause. Soldiers to fight the hive, and brides to repopulate the diminished that have fallen victim to the war. There is a neurological test that a bride takes to me matched to their perfect alien planet, then their perfect alien match on that planet, through a series of sexual desires that only our subconscious can answer for. Earth allows for volunteers to apply to the program, or grants female criminals the option to become a bride over a prison sentence. Those who volunteer are paid a healthy sum of money, and those who are prisoners are given clean slates. All applicants are required to give up their Earth citizenship to become a resident of their new chosen planet. A bride has 30 days to accept or reject their match. If they accept their claim, they are mated to their new alien husband for the rest of their lives where they are expected to make babies. If they reject their mate, they are assigned a new one on that same planet. Where they are still expected to make babies. Warden Egara makes continued appearances throughout the series as she is the one who processes the brides on Earth. (After being caught up with all of Grace Goodwin’s spin-offs, I am still waiting for the warden to find her happily ever after. Hint, hint, Grace.)

Written in first person, Claimed By Her Mates is book 3 in this series and follows the human bride Leah Adams and her three alien mates Drogan, Tor and Lev from the planet Viken. Leah is a human female who volunteered for the bride program to escape the clutches of her possessive and abusive fiancé. The Vikens are triplet brothers, Princes that were separated as children, to live in the three different sectors of their planet. They were the offspring of the king and queen, and raised to rule each district as political agenda to keep the peace. It was decided that the three should take a single mate in order to bring the 3 sectors together under 1 ruler, their offspring. Tor ruled sector 1 (weapons of a spear and shield), where family was all and they preferred anal sex and public affection. Lev ruled sector 2 (weapons of bows and arrows), where they preferred bondage while claiming a woman’s pussy. Drogan ruled sector 3 (a sword as a weapon), and members of his sector preferred oral sex. Perfect combination for 3 against 1, lol. Leah left Earth under the assumption that she would be mated with a single mate. Even her test at the beginning was with one man. Surprise! It’s actually 3 because some creepy old dude (who dies by the way) altered the testing. After the triplets impregnated Leah, they claimed her in a traditional method; all fucking her at the same time in the pussy, ass and mouth.

Vikens are humanoid. What sets them apart from everyone else is their massive size (they’re larger than humans), their potent cum that changes the body to accommodate their mate, and their cum is an aphrodisiac that when it comes in contact with skin, releases a pheromone to make the woman aroused and horny (and crave their partner to an extreme).

There have been way too many romance novels I’ve read that had me frustrated and yelling “Jesus Christ, when are they gonna fuck?! Get to the good shit already!” When we’re 50% in, and the main characters have barely kissed each other, leaves readers like me aggravated. This is not one of those books. The very first chapter gives a very clear indication of what we are in for. I’m fairly confident that there is more sexual content in this book than adventure. It is, quite literally, word porn.

The first few books in this series were a little too hardcore for my tastes. Which is saying a lot because I am far from a prude and consider myself a person with a healthy and active sex life. Filled with bondage and S&M, the consent line was a little blurry in some cases. This is very much one of those books. But, if you can make it past the first handful of books, the writing gets a little tamer with a much clearer line of consent, making the books even more enjoyable.

This book in particular almost crossed a line for me. Leah ran away from an abusive possessive relationship with one man to be thrown in to an abusive possessive relationship with three men. Let’s break down the basics, shall we? The men fucked her blindfolded within 10 minutes of her arrival. Their cum is so potent that it forced Leah to drop all her inhibitions and feverishly needed sex. Can we say date rape? They basically drugged her into submission, something she never would have agreed to sober. Then, they spank her, as a punishment, for… arguing? For NOT opening her dress and exposing herself on a boat? He claimed that she needed to follow directions in order to keep her safe, but the directions weren’t for her safety, they were for HIS pleasure in asserting his dominance. Twenty spankings turned into thirty? Okay 50 shades of Grey, simmer down a couple notches. I am not personally an SA survivor, but I would not recommend one read this particular book. Trigger warning central. Through all the foggy headed dramatics, Leah convinced herself that she wanted the spankings and was in love with all three men. Riiiiight. Maybe it’s because I am not a submissive, but like, I probably would’ve killed all three mates in their sleep if I were Leah. It’s be widow central up in hur.

As we read through this series and all it’s spin offs, I can attest that the plot is incredibly addictive. I am way too invested in each book, in all its adventure and romance.

This is something to read purely for the smut. There isn't a lot of plot development, though there is more than in some books of the series. Lots of inconsistencies where it was obvious the author was losing track of which brother was which with personality and preferences, but again, if you're not reading for a quality plot line then that's fine. Also odd was that a woman running away from an abusive relationship gets put in a situation where she has three alpha males ready to spank her for discipline. Honestly, this series is about suspending all critique and just reading for the smut. And there's a lot of it so that's not too hard to do.

This book was a whole lot of sex with a slight smattering of story. I read erotic romances because I like the erotic bits too, but this was just over the top in my opinion. (There was really no point in bringing up the reason Leah decided to enter the interstellar bride program, since her abusive fiance never came up or had any bearing on the rest of the story.) In particular, I could have done without all the time spent discussing seed and seed power - sheesh!

A fun quick read. However the writing was sub par and there was minimal character development. Not only was the plot thin and under developed but there were too many narrative errors to keep track of. The brothers often switched sectors as well as character traits. Overall, I wish I had not paid for it.

While I love the sex scenes in this book, it's starting to get a little dull in the series. I just wish there was more of a story and a little less sex. I love the idea of a Bride program that finds your prefect match, but I wish there was a little more of some substantial story. I do really enjoy Miss Goodwin's writing because she has a way of writing a fantastic tale.

This book was a bit strange. I'm not sure any of the characters actually feel love for each other. Too much of their feelings stemmed from lust and the power of the mating process.

I honestly was more interested in the political backstory and wish more focused on that.
