5 SHINING STARS

I really enjoyed this glimpse into Brian and Candace's future (Rock Me). Light Me Up was a delightful and steamy little gem that reminded me why Brian is one of my all-time favorite swoonalicious heroes. As for Candace, well, I adored her in this novella. She finally became the girl Brian deserved. I absolutely love these two characters, their relationship, and this novella. I will most definitely be reading it again for the smile I know it'll put on my face, and, of course, for more Brian.

I'm sending a HUGE shout out to my girl, Kristen - THANK YOU!!!

I loved this story and I'm not sure why I took so long to read it, but I'm glad I finally did.

See, Kristen and I were chatting on the phone and we had a conversation that went something like this:

Kristen - Have you read the Ross series... you know the one... with Brian and Candace?

Me - (I immediately think "apadravya" and my heart skips a beat) Yeah, by Cherrie Lynn. I love that series

Kristen - Did you read Light Me Up? The one where they get engaged?

Me - No, I didn't.

Kristen - You should read it.

Me - Yeah?

Kristen - Yeah, you should read it.

Me - It's good?

Kristen - (chuckles) Oh yeah, it's good. (more chuckles) It's really hot.

Me - I got my iPad right here. Let me check Amazon.

Kristen - It's really good.

Me - I'm checking...

Kristen - You'll love it.

Me - .99 cents? Done!

My Review:

Just buy the book. It's hot, it's romantic, it's funny. If you haven't read the series you can still enjoy this short story, and if you're a fan but, like me, hadn't/haven't read it yet, just do it. You will NOT regret it!

Thanks for the nudge, Kristen!

ahhh, I never get enough of Brian and Candace. I just saw this short story the other day and knew I needed to fit it in ASAP!! It was such a great addition to Brian and Candace's story. I loved it.

"Me and you?" he said, giving the first line of their favorite motto. "Against the world," she finished. Always.

5 stars!

Oh my God, Brian Ross, you are absolute PERFECTION!!! I knew I loved that man, this just reinforced it.

"Her mind was blank and her heart and body ruled. And those? They were his property."

A short, and insanely steamy little read overloaded with gorgeously swoony moments between Brian and Candace that had me alternately laughing and fanning myself, and an absolutely epic finish that had me squeeing out loud. So gorgeous, I even teared up.

. Candace is a very lucky girl. *sigh*

I fell in love with Cherrie Lynn after reading her book, Rock Me.

Rock Me (Ross Siblings, #2) by Cherrie Lynn

In fact, I featured this book in the 18 and Over Book Blogger Follow. I absolutely loved and adored the main character, Brian Ross--tattoo artist extraordinaire--who also sported a very special piercing. **AHEM** Think lower regions.

So, I had to add Light Me Up to my TBR pile. And I was not disappointed. Brian and Candace were such an endearing couple to read about and there was a family resolution that helped bring their story to a close. Sigh.

Candace and Brian's relationship has grown stronger and weathered many family differences. They are living together, committed, and in love.
Only one thing would make it perfect--an engagement ring.

The night of the family Christmas party brings those feelings to a head when Candace's mother asks her if the two ever plan to marry and even suggests that maybe Candace should pop the question.

But Candace is afraid to bring it up. Things have been going so good, and she doesn't want to put any pressure on Brian.

This novella delivers a great ending--it highlights Brian's romantic side as well as his kinky sexy side. And my only complaint is that I wish I could have had more.

Here's a little snippet:

"Not much longer, babe."
"Then you'll f**k me?"
"Jesus. You have to ask?"
"No, I just like to."
He didn't look up. "Fair enough. I like to answer.Yes, I'll f**k you."
"Hard?"
"Like you're unbreakable."

Hot, hot, hawt! Nice closure, at least to the point where Ms. Lynn has brought us. "I foresee good things..." Having read "Ghost" ~ another home-run! ~ and then come back to read this, it was nice to hear how Ghost and Macy's relationship is progressing as well as Brian and Candace's. This was a very satisfying read.

This is another one of my authors (KA, Lauren Dane, Lisa Renee Jones,JR Ward,Karen Marie Moning, Jacqueline Frank, Nora Roberts, Sable Hunter, Melissa Cutler, Heidi McLaughlin, RC Matheson, Olivia Cunning, SC Stephens, Donna McDonald...) whom I'll buy without hesitation; you just know anything they write is going to be a home-run!

Fantastic epilogue like novella.

I thought I had read this already, but I was obviously WRONG because DAMN!!! I have missed Brian Ross so much and this just stoked that fire and reminded me that I need a Rock Me reread.

It was so good see more of Brian!! Okay, and Candace too.
This short story has the steam that Cherrie Lynn got us used to (ie...very good!) and a very sweet marriage proposal.
If you liked "Rock Me" this is a must-read.
And let's be honest... since when read more of Brian is a waste of time? :)

In this short story, Lynn gives us a very sweet and juicy morsel. I love that we get to see a little more about Brian and Candace's relationship, especially that wonderful ending!

We're back with Brian and Candace, a couple weeks before Christmas. While they've been together for about a year and a half and are both very happy with their relationship, they're both getting pressure from family to get married. And if Candace is being honest with herself, she longs for a ring on her finger. But is Brian ready to make that move?

A few comments:

1. I love that Candace is way more confident. She asserts herself to her mom, telling her to back off and stop pushing the marriage thing.
And Candace is certainly not afraid to tell Brian what she wants in the bedroom!

2. Brian sketching naked Candace, a la Titanic:
B: "Not much longer babe."
C: "Then you'll fuck me... Hard?"
B: "Like you're unbreakable." *FAINTS*

3.
C: "Brian, please, please."
B: "That's real sweet. I like that."
C: "Yeah? I like orgasms. I want to have this one." lololololol

4. The proposal is perfection!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A black diamond and black gold is so badass!
B: "I need for you to vow in front of me and God and everyone that you'll be only mine for the rest of your life." *weeping*

5. And the family dinner at the end :)))))

I'm not ready to let go of Brian and Candace! I'm BEGGING for a novella featuring their wedding and (more importantly) their HOT honeymoon!
Definitely give this a read folks!

Short story featuring Brian and Candace from 'Rock Me'. They have now been dating for 18 months. They live together, work together and her snobby family are finally coming around to Brian. Candace's awful mother from the first story has now softened remarkably! The story starts as they are attending Candace's parents Christmas party. Candace is feeling a bit flustered and we soon find out why hence the title of 'light me up'!

This book is a lot sexier and hotter than Rock Me and features anal sex. We get lots of declarations of love and lots of sex. Brian has a very special Christmas present for Candace which will please all the fans of this story.

For fans of Seth and Macy from 'Leave me Breathless'. They don't feature in this story but they are mentioned and sounds like they are living happily ever after. The author is currently writing a prequel to their story.

Brian and Candace are back and ready to celebrate their second Christmas together. Candace's mother questions their relationship once again and puts fear into Candace's head that Brian isn't in the same place emotionally that she might be. Candace longs for a ring, but Brian may have other plans this Christmas.

I freaking LOVE Brian and Candace. This story is short, but it is fantastic! Another great Cherrie Lynn work, but it's just not enough! I don't think I'll ever get enough of this Ross boy!

Update: a friend was talking about Brian’s Bff Ghost and I immediately needed a visit to my favorite Dermamania couple. *sigh*

SEXY SHORT STORY

This is a follow up to Rock Me featuring Brian and Candace. They have been living together for some time now. It's Christmas and they are attending Candace's parents Christmas party. They are more accepting of Brian than in the beginning of the relationship, but Candace's mother still has a problem which she voices. But Candace has learnt to stand up to her mother more now.
But the sex in this between the lovers in really hot. With a big surprise for Candace Christmas morning. Enjoyed this it was nice to catch up with this couple.

***SWOONTASTIC***

Apologies to the gorgeous men of Virgin River, Lucky Harbor, Destiny, Club Shadowlands and about a billion other sex-god-filled series, but I think that Brian may be my fav hero ever.

It might be the piercing... :)

LOVE THE COVER!
I really liked this prequel to Leave me Breathless but it was unnecessary. Leave Me Breathless was FREAKIN AMAZING and sexy as f**k! I would have rather had more of the LMB story. Maybe even an epilogue letting us know about their life together. Maybe marriage or babies? I do recommend this book because it gives you alittle extra insight into how Ghost and Macy met and also how Brian and Candace came together. But LMB was definitely all that was needed to Ghost and Macy's story because it was set your crotch on fire Smokin Hot!
