The Mind: A Journey in an Abstract World by Maher Abou Shackra is a book that travels into the abstract world of the mind, tackling several issues that are related to the collective as well as the individual mind. It was published in March 2013.
The author follows a scientific approach in the book, basically in discussing the abstract nature of the individual mind. The findings are based on qualitative and quantitative researches which aim to understand the nature of relations that rule the three main components of The Mind: Awareness, Thought, and Feeling.
Through this book, Maher Abou Shackra, who is a researcher and a socio-political activist, promotes several notions that can be summarized by the below:

لكل انسان دور في هذه العالم ."
و الدور يختاره المرء لنفسه كما يريد و كما يتصور و يظن...
اولئك البؤساء هم الذين لا يعرفون بعد دورهم في الحياة . والدور ليس بالضرورة ان يكون براقا ,فابسط الادوار اعظمها ,و الحياة توازن ابدي و تكامل لا هوادة فيه...."
