This was too fan-fictiony for me to even properly digest. The world is going to bits and Harry runs around attending weddings and chasing after girls. Voldemort was defeated in a paragraph and the how's and why's are still not clear to me. All in all, this book cured me of wanting re-visit a few of my favorite HP fanfictions.

******SPOILER ALERT********SPOILER ALERT*******

I'm going to reveal some BIG parts of the ending. If you haven't read this book, STOP READING THIS REVIEW NOW!!! You've been warned. Thank you.

I absolutely LOVED this book -- the entire 3 book series actually!

The ONLY parts I HATED about the books:

1. Hagrid dies. :-(
2. Lots of other favorite characters die. :-(
3. Harry gives up his magic forever. :-(

However, the tale leading up to that is so well written that I would still highly recommend the 3-book series of Harry Potter fan-fiction!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

This is really old harry potter fanfic, I guess you'd even call it ancient. I'm really interested in old fic like this just to see what people were creating before the series was done. I enjoyed the first two books and the prequel but this one just wasn't super good for me.

2024: Just an edit not a reread. I think about the ending of this book a lot, this is three years later. I absolutely hate the ending. I was down for the vast majority of what led up to the ending but not the ending. And I keep coming back to it like a sore tooth. That is the mark of a good writer. I will say I loved the first two books and the prequel. If I ever reread it I'll end up excluding this one.

Good Fanfiction.

####Spoilers#####

It's weird how similar some of the ending turned out, compared to the real books.
Fred, Dobby.

The last 3 chapters are utterly heartbreaking and tragic. I read this on Fanfiction.net and the last 2 chapters are not posted there so make sure you check out fictionalley for the final chapters.

I love a 'heres what happened to everybody's round up at the end so thanks for that. I hate loose ends.

Very very long and too much teenage drama. The story gets drowned a bit, just to be dragged up quite suddenly. Not quite as good as the other books.

i have always loved this series, and "harry Potter FanFiction" in general... there's not much i can say about the 3rd book aside from, you won't see the end coming, until the very last page, even harry doesn't see the end coming, and he has already thought it was over, which, to be fair, it was, but not how he thought, so he was surprised to find what he KNEW happened actually was something else entirely... of course that depends on if this is the book I'm thinking of the ending for, as I've read so many books,(even though I know I've read this before) that it's hard to remember which ending went with each author and series...(I must read at least 20 books both complete and unfinished works, if not more, in a month)

speaking of, I've always thought her name was "Barb LP" but its apparently "BL Purdom", and apparently there's another author listed on here called "Barb LP"...makes me wonder if I was right or not in the first place, and if I was, then why have different pennames listed? either way, as I said before, I love this series by this author no matter their correct name, and i'm probably due for a reread of these soon, as it's, to be honest, been a few years since my last read of these

I couldn't not follow up after getting back into the first 2 of these, but I really struggled to persist with the sheer amount of teenageness. I know, it's that age, but so much was just based on hormones. Crazy. it almost felt like 2 different people wrote the last few chapters and the epilogue.

Still, it's a very impressive trilogy given that, at time of writing, we had no idea how Harry was going to really end. I can see why it's got a devoted fan following and, at times, I was able to re-capture the magic of it all.

So as I sit here and type this review I still have tears running down my cheeks. Through all three books I have laughed, I have cried, I have sat in suspense, I have gasped and I have loved.

This 3 part trilogy is something that will really get you thinking, make you stop and will make you appreciate everything.

The ending is NOT what I expected and it made me quite emotional. I wont say anything due to spoilers but take it from me. You need to read this book, you need to read all of them. I have nothing else to say about it. There are many twists, turns and downright What the f**k moments all of which make this book one of the best I have ever read.
