Una mirada diferente de los efectos de la guerra, los estragos producidos por la Luftwaffe, y sus repercusiones en la vida de todos. Un libro de "niños" con la crudeza de la realidades de la vida, las pérdidas, los lutos vividos. Aún así mostrar la belleza de ser niño y no necesitar mas que la naturaleza y amistades para ser feliz.

Lovely story that brings the reader to the life of some Londoner kids in the world war 2 era. The story buildup is interesting and the characters are likable but the harsh times leaves a bittersweet feeling. Mixing happiness and despair, sometimes my heart pumped like exploding but as soon as it starts to get dark it goes back to its light mood.

The world war theme is well depicted through the whole ordeal, however, the story felt too much centered to it, and play with two different and sometimes contradictory tones, in one we have the kids being happy and living normal lives and the other the world is at war and people are suffering and dying.

As a negative aspect, the story left many open plots and the end felt abruptly, something this amazing work doesn't deserve.

Overall, it was a fun and light read, recommended for teens and adults who don't need to read complex and intricate plot lines, just relax and read.

What a lovely lovely book.I love novels like this ( of a similar type there are a number ),I think they are called bittersweet.I do believe these types of books are important as they help to remind younger people of today what exactly our grandparents and great grandparents went through during WWII.People SHOULD be reminded exactly of all the hardships and turmoils they endured but also the joys and little victories that kept people going when all often seemed so pointless and insurmountable.Yes the actual story is fairly simple but that's all to the good.All the way through the book I just wanted to give the children in the story a big hug and help and care for them.They were just so brave and indomitable!I can't see how anyone could not enjoy this beautiful story....I wish there were more like this from Alan Parker,I would definitely have welcomed a few more!

Cómo pasa a menudo con ciertos libros de colecciones juveniles, cuando me lo hicieron leer en el colegio me pareció aburrido. Lo recordaba a fragmentos y por eso me apetecía recordarlo. En esta ocasión me ha parecido ameno, una especie de Club de los Cinco en la II Guerra Mundial.

Lo cogí un día de la estantería para ver qué historia se traía entre manos. Lo leí hace mil, pero recuerdo que me encantó. Mezcla dos elementos aparentemente contrarios: la guerra y la infancia, pero que por desgracia tienen bastante relación.

Uno de los primeros libros formales que leí, cuenta las aventuras de 3 hermanos que son separados por la guerra. Para alguien que está empezando a leer de una manera más intensa, es una excelente opción para disfrutar de un libro que aunque parezca infantil, te lleva por la campiña inglesa sin necesidad de salir de tu sitio de lectura.
