[Menage Amour Erotic Alternative Menage a Trois Romance, M/M/M, sex toys, HEA] Auto-shop owner Scott Davison has a disastrous track record when it comes to relationships. He either chooses the wrong guy, or runs them off as soon as they get close to him. He’s practically given up on dating when he starts sleeping with his new mechanic, Hugh Taylor—having regular sex with the same person isn’t the same thing as dating, after all. It’s just a shame he hasn’t mentioned this fact to Hugh, who’s fallen in love with Scott. Then old friend Cameron Phillips, the only person Scott’s ever really trusted, comes back to town. He hooks up with Scott and Hugh for a simple, fun threesome, but as the days pass, and Cameron stays, Hugh comes to believe he’s the interloper in Scott and Cameron’s relationship. As if relationship problems weren’t enough—and why can’t people be as straightforward as engines?—the actions of a jealous business rival put everything Scott has worked for in jeopardy. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

Not a masterpiece for the ages but an enjoyable read. Although it did have plenty of sex it was more of a romance book than erotica IMO, at least as far as the mood is concerned. It took off after a rather unpromising start and finished strong. Above all, the characters felt real; besides their usual good looks, all three had realistic issues and hang ups they had to conquer in order to build their relationship. The background plot was pretty solid too.
CHANGING GEAR is the journey of three men trying to figure out where they are and where they want to be in love and life.
Scott Davison has been sleeping with one of the mechanics that works for him, Hugh Taylor, for a while now. Scott and Hugh appear to have pretty strong feelings for one another, but they don't talk about them. When Scott's old friend and occasional lover, Cameron Phillips, comes to town, some strong emotions are generated among all three men. Scott is still attracted to Cameron and is interested in his suggestion to hook up, but he feels a strong connection to Hugh and doesn't want to leave him out, so he doesn't!
This was a really sweet story that explored the emotional turmoil that can be generated with three people in a relationship, none of whom openly talks about their feelings. These three men are feeling love, insecurity, jealousy, and fear, and the coping mechanism that kicks in for all of them is to run away. It seems easier for them to walk away from a potentially amazing relationship than to talk honestly about their worries and concerns. As is often the case, a tragic event occurs before anyone starts being honest with themselves and each other.
I felt the author did a fantastic job writing the multifaceted emotional components of this story. My only complaint is that I found the plot a bit rushed and forced in spots. We don't really get to know the antagonist; he just appears as an outlier to the story. I enjoyed the main characters and cared about what happened to all of them. Very good story!
2.5 to 3 stars Ok read.. slightly boring and had trouble connecting with the MCs at the beginning. No great mystery to really stress over, just a computer problem with orders getting canceled that escalates to a fire near the end. But came across as mild (excluding the fire). This is more about how they get from 2 to 3 in a relationship with the ups and downs felt by all partys.
