Helen Eriksson's insight shifts gears - from the secrets of others to the mystery of her true identity. When she turns to her father for answers, it nearly destroys her other life. Is Wendell Eriksson the ultimate sinner, or an unqualified saint? Lost in her own doubts and fears, it takes another murder to yank Helen's focus back where it belongs.
Sygnet was a mastermind of schoolyard schemes as a child who grew into someone who channeled that inner criminal onto the pages of books. In the real world, the profession is nursing, psychiatric variety.
Devoted to family, friends and dogs in middle age, Sygnet spends most spare time plotting fiction, reading obsessively or playing with her four-legged children – the dogs.
Sygnet is a rabid NBA fan and loves the elliptical when the plot gets elusive. Nothing like endorphins to light the path. When endorphins fail, speed metal usually does the trick. Sygnet can often be found muttering over Pages on the iMac or the iPad, where most of the writing takes place.
This book drove me crazy!! Helen is to the point of no return and all I want to do is scream at her!!! Poor Johnny!! I just hope the last book will have her finally wishing up on how she acts...
There were a lot of secrets that came out in this one...So mun going on so....Thank goodness don't have to wait for next book to come out...would go crazy with ending this book has..
I thought that it was a very fast passed and it had a surprising ending with lost of twist and turns in the middle. it was about this fbi agent who was trying to find out the real story about why her father had been sentence in prison for murder, she learns that getting the answers from her father might ruin her other life in this town that she has started to live in while trying to figure out why her father is really in prison, it was a really easy read and I like these kind of story's that keep my attention like this story did.
As with all of the Ericcson books written by LS Sygnet, ths is an excellent story. Intrigue and suspense follow Helen as she tries to find out who her parents and family really are while fighting the typical signs of pregnancy.
Enjoyed this book more than the previous ones, although I still do not like the main female character Helen Eriksson. This one was good enough that I was desperate to read the next one.
