My grandmother gave me this book, likely because I am a fairly spiritual-and-religious person who appreciates spiritually-minded intentional communal living and I have been working with urban kids.
I did like the poems but actually enjoyed the explanations more. Some I didn't quite connect with or made me quirk a brow; others had me really sitting and thinking. I noted a number of them to revisit. It did make me want to write down more of my experiences, at least, even if I'll never be the rise-at-4-am-with-a-cup-of-tea-to-write-and-meditate sort.
