A convoluted storyline and very confusing

Rafe Redbourne, bounty hunter, is searching for the missing fiancee of an English Earl. When he stumbles across her he discovers she is someone from his last life, the one who ruined it.
Tayla Hawthorne has no recall of her past after her head was hit. When a bounty hunter arrived she cannot understand why this man should show disdain and anger towards her.I

What a convoluted storyline! The author has definitely gone into overdrive with this one and the reader is left confused with lots unexplained. Firstly, if Rafe is in Wyoming, why on earth would be decide to head to Colorado in his search for the missing woman? He actually heads to the exact inn! There is no explanation.

The story drags on with constant repetitive thoughts from both parties. How many times did I read of Tayla staring at his rippling muscles or of Rafe thinking of how he must leave her before he put his thoughts into action! Added to this are so many silly accidents where she trips, falls, bumps herself that it became farcical.

The copious amounts of secondary characters confuse the storyline and to be honest, some are not needed and just drag the story out. The denouncement at the end is so confusing that I am still wondering who was who! Every time someone wanted to give a particular piece of information which may help solve the problem they were put off with 'tell me later.'

This second story in the series was nowhere as good as the first. I only hope the next one makes up for it as the interaction between brothers in the first book was so good, yet missing in this one.

It amuses me. This. Is the second instance in a short period of time that I've enjoyed a second book more than the first. It was a really enjoyable and clean romance despite what the Abercrombie cover would lead you to believe.

Another good story by Kelli Ann Morgan, but there were so many characters that it was hard to keep track of everyone and their roles in the story. Lots of adventure though and sweet romance. I look forward to the next one .....

Yahoo! This has it all. The interesting story with multiple twists and turns. Characters with a story. A hero and heroine who are likable. And red hot chemistry! That is clean!

This is the worst book I've read in some time. There was so much wrong with this book that I'm amazed I read the same novel as the people who rated this so extravagantly. Instead of a continuous tale, this story was episodic in nature. Rafe, the hero, was too perfect. He can do doctoring and throw pots (on a potter's wheel) that are so good they can be sold and still have time for bounty hunting. Heavens, he doesn't speak Spanish perfectly; how did that happen?

Tayla was a dolt. She had a hard time staying upright with all her falls and mishaps. But the thing that drove me crazy was the way the author kept kicking the plot down the road. She wouldn't let the characters talk, so the mystery became understandable. If that weren't enough, the repetition was excruciating.

Finally, in Chapter 19, the author pulled various characters out of a hat and had them interact to try to explain the story. Where did Finn and Malcolm come from? Or Tessa? By then, I didn't really care. However, I'd invested so much time in this drivel that I promised to see the conclusion and if the solution redeemed the story. It didn't. This is a waste of time.

Historical American story with lots of English folks and lots of secret baby plots with some amnesia
and second chances romance.
This story starts out HOT with death threats, kidnapping and amnesia for Miss Tayla Hawthorne who can't remember her past which is good because she did something bad to the guy trying to save her life, bounty hunter Rafe Redbourne. The end was a bit confusing with the secret children stories and everyone's names and titles being switched around.
Fun road trip and a crazy huge family taking care of each other with lots of love and acceptance.

Good mystery!

This story of Rafe and Tayla kept me wondering what would happen next! However, too much clumsiness for Tayla... and too many constant accidents kept me from giving it more than 3 stars. Not as good as previous books about the Deardons and the Redbourne's, but I am still looking forward to reading about the other brothers!

He can chase me anytime

This is only the 2nd book but i really am enjoying the series so far. However i was a little confused how Tessa fit in at the end then seemed to disappear. Many unexpected twist led to a good story line. One error was Lexa was considered a large horse but she was listed at 14 hands thecsize of a large pony.

Mixed feelings

I enjoyed the storyline but have a few questions. The story left me with a cliffhanger although I don't believe that was the Authors intension.

*****POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT****
What happened to Tessa? There one minute gone the next.
Why didn't Rafe take Malcolm into custody? He was/is a bounty hunter.

This is a fairly well written story that has twist and turns that stir your interst and keep you wondering. Rafe loves women but since he was stood up at his wedding years before he guards his heart. Tayla Hawthorne has no memory of her past but is drawn to handsome bounty hunter Rafe Redbourne. There is a feel good ending and plenty of action and suspense in between.

Well worth the purchase. I got the 1st book free, liked it so much, I purchased the rest of the series. SO glad I did. Fast moving, detail oriented and kinda twisty. Glad I found this new author, to me anyway.

Another good one

Well, the first Redbourne Series was good... And this second one was just as much. Rafe and Tayla make for an interesting pair to be sure, but darling just the same. Their story is fun, dangerous and memorable. ;)

Ludicrous story!!!!_

Ludicrous story!! I like action but it should have cohesiveness and continuity. How many clumsy accidents can a character have?

This is the second offering in the clean romance series of the Redbourne family. Rafe Redbourne, who was introduced in the first book of the series, is the hero of this offering. Even though this is the second book in the series it can be read as a stand-alone story. I should note that the Redbourne Series is a debut offering for Kelli Ann Morgan. She captured me as a fan when I read the opening novel of the series. I love how her protagonists subscribe to high moral and ethical standards. Respect for life, even the life of criminals, is paramount. Tayla Hawthorne is kidnapped and her father shot by two ruffians who are working for a villain whose identity is a mystery until the closing scenes of the novel. To complicate matters, Tayla suffers a fall while trying to escape the ruffians, strikes her head, and loses her memory of all past events. She is taken in by a friend of Rafe Redbourne who drops in for a visit while he is escorting one of his bounties back to his home ranch. With the stage now set, we are off to the races. Twists and turns of the story line keep you on your toes as you, in a page turning search, look for what comes next. Almost every time I thought I knew where things were headed, the author blew me away as she went in another direction. Predictability is not a trait of Ms. Morgan’s writing and that really makes the story interesting. Read it! You will be pleased.

I loved the first story about Cole and anxiously awaited Rafe's story. While I definately enjoyed Rafe's story and fell a little in love with Rafe himeself - there were alot of parts in the book that confused me. It often seemed like too many characters were being thrown at me at once making it hard to keep track of who each were and why they were there. It was unnecssary and mudled the story. Also, Tayla's big secret...the deep dark past that kept Rafe so angry with her turned out to be kind of lame and disappointing. That said, I did enjoy the book just thought it had the potential to be a really great book but missed the mark slightly.

Second--not so much

The first book in this series was so good, I immediately went for the second. While the characters are still well-drawn, the plot and relationships are disappointing. There's one contrived 'event' upon 'threat'; the heroine is in constant danger from one 'baddie' or another. It seems like they stand in line, waiting their chance, then go back to the end to attack again. All in all, a real let down, and makes me rethink reading the series. Maybe Ms Morgan was just in a rush to get this book out, and it suffered in the process.

Wow! Action packed story

I have fallen in love with Redbourne men!! This was a crazy story, lots of action, and two people fighting their feelings which makes for a very entertaining story.
The characters are so engaging and are fun to read about. The story has so many twists and turns you have no idea what is going to happen next and you hate to put the book down.
I have really enjoyed this series and can't wait to read the next one!!

Good Read!

I have enjoyed all of Ms. Morgan's books .My only criticism is that her stories take too long to reach a conclusion, especially the last few chapters. I, for one have already solved the mystery two or three back before she finally reveals her bad guy. One the positive side, she does have very interesting stories with very likeable characters.

Bounty Gunter find his forever bounty

Good read suitable for all ages. The only bad thing I can really say is the book ended abruptly. You have this huge build up and then the it just ends leaving several unanswered questions. Makes you think it was rushed to meet some kind of deadline. Could of had a better ending that would not have left so many unanswered questions.

The Redbourne series

I enjoy these books because they are a fast read . It's easy to get lost for a bit in the characters. There are so many. The progression of the story is not as fast as expected. Never the less it's a fun read and made me smile at times!

Bad!

Badly written. Terrible with punctuation. Gah! Follows the standard romance pattern, though. Read it in a couple of hours on the plane, which is about all it's worth.

It was a fun story. It started out with action and it kept going throughout the book. Rafe is a strong alpha male with gentleness. I wish all men were like him. Oh well!!
