“Nobody but God could make this happen.”

Seven years ago, Elliot Starling fired Geneva Passion, a young sales rep in his company, accusing her of unethical conduct she vehemently denied. Now, due to a head injury from an auto accident, it is the only memory Elliot has of his life. Determined to find out why, he journeys to Geneva’s small hometown of Holly Park, Florida to confront her.

Shocked by Elliot’s arrival, Geneva is forced to deal with emotions that have troubled her for seven years, including her secret crush on the man who fired her. Stepping out on faith, Geneva agrees to help Elliot regain all his memories, but is that what they really want? Confusion, uncertainty, and hidden desires challenge their efforts to do the right thing as they draw close to each other.

Geneva is the only person Elliott can remember after he wakes up from a dream following an accident that left him an amnesiac. The dream was about him firing her in an abrupt manner.
So instead of trying to bring his memory back with his family and fiancé, he travels to where this Geneva now lives to get answers. (A little odd if you ask me, but interesting). Then within a week of the visit they are falling in love. Ugh.
Geneva is not likable at first. She's supposed to be a woman who leads women's retreats, but when she sees Elliott for the first time in years she has conniptions, and stomps around in a huff because her father is being gracious to him. That was just not well thought out. Eventually she starts acting more like the Christian she's supposed to be.
This was written in such a basic, unsophisticated way that I think it might be geared toward a teen or pre-teen, but the characters are in their 30s, which simply doesn't work. The author might try a hand at writing YA or teen focused books. I think she'd be good at it.

Annoying, that's the best I can say about this book. It's filled with inner dialogues with God, most not even coherent. The "show, don't tell" expression is a foreign concept. The characters are not even a bit likeable, or realistic. The romance and love comes as instant as a sneeze and all the characters speak and behave more childish than pre-adolescents...
All in all, a waiste of a few hours ... :( I don't recommend it.

Lovely story that inspired me

I have not read a book like this in such a long time or ever. It has inspired me to think about my own life, wants and needs. Mostly it spoke to me as if God wanted me to find this book I was not even looking for.
It was a long overdue read for me! Thank you for making this available for many.
I think we all need God or someone in our lives now especially after 2020.

I liked this book, Geneva’s faith was inspiring and her work was a inspiration. The love story between Geneva and Elliot was enjoyable to read. Lots of hopeful scripture messages and you can read how God works and has a plan for everyone. God is good and his blessings will surprise you if you believe in him.

Good book

This story is about Elliot and Geneva who have worked together in the past. When Elliot has amnesia and only remembers one thing from the past, he realizes he must figure out why and is determined to find Geneva.
This was a good, easy flowing, clean book!

this was a cute Christian love story. I don't agree with other reviewers and think it deserves at least 3 stars. it takes a different twist with the main character having amnesia. I did like all the faith in God type stuff. the one thing that kept bugging me was how every time someone said something, they'd use the name of person they were talking over and over again. "let's talk later, geneva." "OK, Elliott." "thank you for dinner Geneva." "your welcome Elliott." no one talks like that. but other than that I thought it was sweet. it didn't pull at my heart strings like some others have, but I liked it.

This was a sweet little Christian Romance Novel! I had never read anything by Barbara Kaylor before and she did a very good job on her descriptions of people and places.
I think with more experience will come more filling out of the details that draw us in a little more to the rooms and the aroma's, etc.
But I did like the story even though it is hard to believe a man could be that hard headed...I've known some hard headed men but this guy takes the cake!
A good fun read.

He has amnesia and the only person he can remember is Geneva. He seeks her out, but she remembers him firing her on false accusations. Once he gets his memory back will he still be the godly person he has become, or turn back into the cutthroat executive?

An amnesia romance in which the hero's only memory is firing the heroine seven years ago. Why does he remember that and not his fiancee or his family or his business or his social life? Why does what he learns about his life make him dislike his old self?

Ebook

A wonderful story of love that goes through trials and tribulations but with a faith in God it all turns out for the best. There is pain for the couple but they are stronger for it in the end.

All things work together for good...

A precious story, one of heartache, perseverance, forgiveness, and second chances. Geneva and Elliott's story is endearing. I highly recommend.
