He remembers his name!!! Ahh, what an ending! I am eager to read the last book to see how everything plays out. Meredith just agreed to start courting Jonah and I know there is going to be drama in the next book when Luke finally remembers everything about his life.

Again, I like this serial, I'm just not loving it. The narrator's voice is nice and the story flows smoothly, I just don't really care for the characters very much. Meredith is okay, but Jonah is bordering on stalker behavior.

Don't get me started on Meredith's mother in law. That woman is selfish and rude.

I really like Susan and Ann's grandparents. They're so sweet and so helpful.

Disclaimer: I requested a review copy via Netgalley, however I listened to the audiobook via my library's audiobook app.

This book of the 6 book series was not my favorite. It was a short book, but more like the middle of a slow moving book.

A Revelation in Autumn, by Wanda E. Brunstetter, is the 5th installment in the Lancaster County Saga. I'm starting to panic knowing that this saga is coming to it's end, next book. I truly enjoy this heartwarming story.

In this book, Meredith has her baby in a horse buggy, assisted by her sister Laurie. The baby is born healthy, and she names him after her grandfather, and her late husband; Levi Luke.

Jonah asks Meredith if he can court her, and she happily accepts, much to the chagrin of her mother-in-law.

Meredith and "Eddie" have a close encounter and they don't even realize it. This was a very suspenseful scene. I was sitting at the edge of my seat, biting my nails...

In the end, "Eddie" picks up a memory from looking at a watch that resembled his own from the past. He jumps up and declares he remembers his name is Luke!

I'm looking forward to reading what happens in the final installment. Will Luke and Meredith finally reunite? What will become of Meredith and Jonah, and Luke and Susan? Ideally, Luke will regain his memory, his wife, and unite with the son he doesn't even know he has! What I really enjoy about these novellas is that they leave you wanting MORE. As with every novella before this one, I look forward to the next!

My Review: This series, A Lancaster County Saga (The Discovery) is a wonderful 6 part series. They can be read quickly and I have fallen in love with the characters. What is hard is that, not only do I like Miriam and Luke, I also like Susan and Anne and their grandparents. I can not tell you much about the actual plot of the story as it would ruin this for readers who have not read this far.
I will tell you that I have a hopeful feeling as I read Wanda Brunstetter's words. She is so descriptive with her writing that I feel as though I am transported to the Lancaster, Pennsylvania Amish community and I am getting a "mini-vacation". I did not even have to pack my bags, just my kindle! This series has made me reflect on times when I have also had both disappointments and grief, as well as joy and peace. How can those coincide? Read the book, A Revelation in Autumn, along with the other 5 parts to the saga to find out for yourself.
I received a complementary pdf version of this book from netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Review:
Another Good Book in this Amish Fiction Series by Wanda E Brunstetter!!

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Meredith was definately my favorite by far. I really felt for her as she work through her grief of her "missing" husband Luke while also dealing with the birth of her child.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Pennsylvania while reading, especially when the scenery was described since My Parents and i vacationed to that part of PA a few years ago!!

Overall A Good Book 5 in this Amish Fiction Series!! Can't wait to read Book 6 in this series and more by Wanda in the future!!

This is the 5th book in the series and it is getting intense. Both Luke and Meredith have big decisions to make that will have lifetime implications. Looking forward to the last book to see how this ends up. 💕

Another good installment in this series. I'm really enjoying the smaller story size, because it makes it a little easier to stop once you've finished one than if you were to just pause in the middle of a book. There were a couple of times I thought something was going to happen, one was with the hot air balloons, but it didn't and I was glad about that. Definitely excited to see how the story wraps up in the last book.

Enjoyed the fifth book in this series. At one point i was on the edge of my seat, and just wanted her to recognize Luke, but he was afar off so it didn't happen, that made me sad. But on to the next and final book of this series. I sure hope they find their way back to one another.

This is book 5 of a 6 part serial novel. Each book is around 125 pages (give or take a few). It's set in Pennsylvania.

I like Susan, Anne, and their grandparents. All very nice, giving people. I like how they treat Eddie.

Sadie Stoltzfus: I understand her fears about not seeing their grandson if Meredith starts liking someone else, but she doesn't seem like a nice woman. I think she needs to approach Meredith with her "wants"--tell Meredith she wants to be involved in her grandchild's life--or approach Meredith with her fears of what will happen and the two of them talk it out, instead of her trying to sabotage things. Sadie seems like a miserable woman in general.

I see one other reviewer thought Jonah's actions bordered on stalker-ish. I'm not sure on that. It could be that some of his actions are the norm in the Amish community but seem strange to us. For example, in most Amish fiction I've read, younger courting couples go to great lengths to avoid their interest in each other being known--but in this book, Jonah has told his parents and Meredith has told her parents and grandmother. So I don't know what to think.

As readers, we're in the position of knowing facts that the characters don't yet know.

In this fifth installment of The Discovery series Meredith Stoltzfus has just had her baby and even though she is thrilled with baby Levi, she is also concerned about her financial situation. Yes, her parents and her in-laws would be willing to help but she wants to provide for her baby herself. How, as a single mother, will she be able to do this? Meanwhile, near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Luke Stoltzfus still has no memory of his life before his accident and he now is living with a kind couple who are willing to provide"Eddie" a place to stay. To further complicate matters, "Eddie" (Luke) is beginning to wonder about his own feelings for Susan Bailey, while back in Bird Hand, Meredith has given Jonah Miller permission to court her. And then, just as the future appears to be changing for both of them, Meredith's husband begins to remember.....

Once again, Wanda Brunstetter has left us anxiously waiting to learn if Meredith and Luke Stoltzfus will ever be reunited. A Revelation in Autumn is an enjoyable story that is the perfect way to prepare us for the conclusion of this series. Fans of Brunstetter and Amish fiction will certainly want to read this short novella!

POSSIBLE SPOILER: I've enjoyed PA Dutch novels before as vaguely familiar with that area and culture, but really did not like this corny story --especially as it ended with a tease to listen to the next one --not really a book, more like a chapter.

I was ready to scream if I heard "chuckle, grin, bopble, and grows like a weed" one more time!

Also, reader's style was not my favorite!

Overdrive @ 1.25 --or 1.5 to get finished!

I "read" this book as an audiobook. I chose it because I was driving a long distance and it was listed as two hours. It was not clear from the app I used that this was part 5 of a series, so I was very confused much of the time I was listening to it. Reader be aware, start with book one or you will be lost. I do not know if the other books are available on my app, but my trip is over and I doubt I will go back to listen to the first four sections.

This one was really good too. It was a little slow in places but I am still interested to see where how it ends.

I am glad that Luke finally remembered his name! Now if he can just remember where he is from and Meredith he will be set. Part of me still wants to see her end up with Jonah for some reason though.

A Revelation in Autumn is the 5th book of the Discovery Saga Collection. Meredith's baby come and. Meredith is still being pursued by Jonah but Sadie, Luke's mom, thinks it is too soon. Luke and Meredith even end up at the same place but just miss Eddie (Luke) remembers his name at the end of this novelle.

Meredith Stoltzfus becomes closer to Jonah Miller and agrees to marry him in the spring of next year after her mourning year is up. About the same time, Luke, named Eddie by his nurse, moves in with her family in hopes a home environment will bring back memories. Will it be on time to stop the wedding of his wife to another man?

I enjoyed this clean, Amish book dealing with loss, grief, and a newborn. While it answered some questions, it felt like it still had a cliffhanger to it. I voluntarily chose to review this story and I've rated it 4.5* . Working on getting the next in the series. Overall, a nice evening's read.

Wanda E. Brunstetter for me is the queen of Amish novels. I enjoyed Meredith Stolzfus story but found it too short. When I read A Revelation In Autumn I did not know it was a serial novel. They are not my favorite type of books, so that is the reason I did not enjoy it so much.

Didn't realize this was part of a series. I would compare it to reading few chapter from the middle of a story. I felt like there was no real beginning and no ending. Disappointed. Have read many books by this author and have enjoyed them.
