Zahara Faraday looks like a normal eighteen-year-old and lives in a quiet neighborhood with her overprotective parents. Zahara belongs to a world made of Light Witches, rogue Imagoes (supernatural creatures with super strength, speed, and silver skin when the moon is out), fallen angels, and Nephilim (hybrid children born half-human, half-angel). Where her father Solomon Faraday is human, her mother Mia and her Aunt Catalina are Light Witches. They help protect the human world by hunting down rogue supernaturals who commit heinous acts against humans. What they never expected was the possibility of having to hunt down the one rogue coven they had befriended and come to trust in their battle against Lucifer. Rekesh Saint-Louis is the leader of the most powerful Imago coven in Florida and now he’s the most suspected. Supernatural bodies are starting to pile up with an ancient ritual long forbade being used to murder them and the symbol, one large cross with four smaller crosses around it—which represents Rekesh’s coven— being left behind. Rekesh and the Elders of his coven set out to find who is behind the murders and clearing his name before a war between the covens begins. To make matters more difficult, Rekesh also has to deal with the return of someone he has been keeping a secret.
Meanwhile, Zahara and Becca are spending more time brushing up on their training, knowing an attack from Lucifer can come at any moment. Between patrolling neighborhoods and hanging at the boarding school created by Charles Stephens—a fallen angel who created the school to protect the children of rogue supernaturals—they are thrown into one battle after another. Zahara begins to develop a closer bond with Jason as they train and chase down clues to clear Rekesh’s name. What she doesn’t know is the very powerful secret Jason is keeping; a secret that will change the course of the fight with Lucifer.
But Rekesh’s coven being set up isn’t the only danger. A new powerful and lethal drug has emerged from the shadows of the supernatural world called Inferi. The drug has two deadly side effects: it leaves the supernatural hungering for blood—both human and supernatural—and grants them the elemental power they had once possessed.
Lucifer is on the move and he will stop at nothing to get his hands on Zahara and complete the first act of his plan.
A battle is about to begin.

Lucifer is just crazy! I'm officially saying it! He's got some messed up issues!
Zahara's an amazingly strong heroine who amazing me more with every book in this series!
In this book Michael gets involved to stop Lucifer! He uses my favorite character Jason!
Since Lucifer couldn't get Zahara the way he wanted he tries a different tactic and this one involves stealing souls and a Dark Fae!
I was on an emotional roller coaster ride while reading this. Becca has a mini breakdown, she just can't deal with all the supernatural drama. Rekesh is such an amazing boyfriend to her thru all this. I'm talking in circles because I'm stunned by this book! It's just phenomenal!
The ending rocked me! I was stunned!
There was action, loss, BETRAYAL, love, epic magic, and so much death! This author sends you on a ride through this story! I can't wait to see what comes next! Just spectacular!

FIVE BETRAYED FAIRIES

Like with the first book in this series, Ms. Cadiz has once again written another absolutely amazing book! I was hooked from page one and if I had the chance, I would have read the entire thing in one sitting.
It was super fun getting back into Zahara's world. The tone is a bit more serious now, especially since Lucifer is running free and causing all sorts of trouble. But despite all that, I am really glad to say that my favorite characters have continued to be their strong, feisty self and fought back as hard as they could.
It was also really nice being able to read from the perspective of some of the newer characters, including Lucifer himself, and get a different view of the story. Due to the multiple perspectives, we readers learn some really big revelations, that the other characters still has yet to know about, and that creates a lot of tension, waiting for those other characters to finally realize what you have known since the very beginning. It kept me at the edge of my seat throughout the entire story and I found myself yelling with happiness when the other characters finally found out about some of those things. Although it did drive me a little insane from all the suspense, I loved that the book was set up this way.
Like with the first book, this book is also filled with action, suspense, and humor. While some pages had me laughing until my stomach hurt, others had me holding my breath in anticipation for what was going to happen next. There was also that nice blend of light romance in the mix. Reading this book felt more like riding a big roller coaster with continuous twists and turns that will leave you breathless! Overall, this was another amazing story and after that ending, I can't wait to find out what's going to happen next! If you haven't checked this serious out yet, I really recommend doing so right away.
