Finally back in print, Exiled is a historical adventure written for children.
First published in 1933, Serpouhi Tavoukdjian chronicles her childhood as she is forced from her home and sent on a death march with thousands of other Armenians.
Ultimately a tale of triumph over darkness, this firsthand account of the Armenian genocide will make a lasting impression on readers.
After costs, all proceeds from the book will be donated to United to End Genocide (endgenocide.org).
Serpouhi survived the death march of the Armenian Genocide of 1915. Almost all of her family died of starvation. This book is the story of her ordeal told by herself in the late 1920s when she was studying nursing at Washington Sanitarium. She later served as a nurse in Avon Park, Florida until her retirement.
What they went through must never be forgotten. Sadly, in these times the numbers of people who have been torn away from home and family is multiplying.
