I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Wright at the Oscoda Craft Show in 2015. He was very passionate about his self-published trilogy of Mr. Bones and convinced me to try them out. I wasn't too disappointed in the first installment...although I'm always over-skeptical of self-published works. Mr. Bones 1: From Out of the Darkness deals with a case of child abductions and murders. Two detectives work on the case as they start to uncover similarities from a case from nearly 60 years ago. It takes a supernatural turn with the introduction of Mr. Bones himself, with the face of a monster but the intentions of an angel. It was pretty fast paced and held my interest up until the flashback portion which dragged and at that point in the novel wasn't offering much progression. It was definitely worth a shot though and I will be reading book 2 soon.
