Drummer Jane McVay moves schools and meets some really talented musicians: Kimmy Carter - guitar player, Savy Leeman - vocalist, and Sandra Farrell - guitarist. Together they form the beginnings of a truly awesome band - The Wild Hearts.
A popular novelist, playwright, and newspaper columnist, Cherie moves effortlessly from genre to genre, writing powerful and entertaining work, whether in literary hardcover teen fiction, mass market paperback fiction, for the stage, film and television, and for her nationally-syndicated teen advice column.
It's difficult to like a book when you don't like the main character. Jane is a moody, angry teenager with poor taste in clothing. She's not that nice either. Especially not to Kimmy (Whom Jane thought was beautiful...if she would only take her glasses off. How insulting isn't that?)
It embarrasses me that I liked it a lot back in 2000. Now it's just an okay read.
