Arnette Lamb was an American writer of 13 romance novels from 1995 to 1998. She was born in 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. and she died prematurely from cancer on September 18, 1998. Her funeral service was held in the Rothko Chapel in Houston, Texas.
This was part of a 3 story novella titled "Parlour Games". I've read a couple of books by this author and like her style so I gave this a try. It's very short- about 75 pgs or so and unfortunately that's not enough time to build credible characters. It's paranormal and I'm usually able to suspend my disbelief but I really couldn't buy how this chick was all too wiling to hook up with this guy who kidnapped her and had such bad intentions to start with. Didn't work for me.
I love Julia...This story for me was good I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THE ENDING.Fleeing an unfaithful fiancé, a nubile young lovely finds herself the prisoner of a lustful Scottish laird and must bow to his every whim if you have read her books before this one will not disappoint its quick and to the point great read for me.
It was a good book but I didn't expect a time-travel novel. I am not a fan of this genre which is why I did two stars because I can't accept the premise of waking up in a new era and just being accepted. Julia Templeton, as always, is a phenomonal writer and has a way of drawing a picture with words.
This was a fun time travel novella. The characters and the story could have been more developed with a longer novel, which is my preference. I don't usually buy novellas, but I like Julia Templeton so I thought I would give it a go. I'm not sorry as it was a very enjoyable read. It was pretty steamy and the characters were appealing. All together an engaging erotic historical romance.
