After suffering from a shattered childhood of being raised by an alcoholic mother and being in and out of foster homes, Kat finally finds some stability in her life and what she thinks to be love. Then one day, after being with Justin for over six years and sharing a child together, he tells her he’s in love with someone else.
Feeling she’s lost everything and all hope of happiness, Kat decides to do the unthinkable. Within seconds of attempting to end her life, Nathan, a young pastor from a nearby church, comes to her rescue in more ways than she can imagine.
Valerie grew up in small southern towns. She was blessed to come from a culture where life revolved around Jesus and family. She always had a vibrant imagination and enjoyed all things media related. As a young adult, she attended Lee University where she majored in telecommunications. After college, she enjoyed a successful career working as a video editor. She has worked for both local networks as well as a national entertainment network. During this time, she met and married Steven.
After getting married, she continued working until she was blessed with her first child. After becoming a mother, she found that her heart’s desire was to be a stay-at-home mother and wife. Since making that decision, she and Steven have become the proud parents of four biological children, two adopted children, as well as serving as foster parents.
While her first loves will always be God and her family, she has never lost her passion of crafting an engaging story. She hopes to turn her stories into series that will take her readers on an entertaining journey of romance and spiritual awakening. She hopes her writing will bring both an escape from the world’s daily problems and a testimony of God’s goodness, love, and grace.

Such an awesome book. Full of the revelation of what God’s love and forgiveness truly is and a perfect example of what witnessing to others about salvation would look like. So glad I found it.
