Book covers his life up to the early 1970"s, from singing/performing to acting in movies. What I didn't know was he donated millions to charity--all over the world. (shows for underprivledged and handicapped children, servicemen overseas, and in the US as well. Throughout the book, the author lists the songs he recorded, date and studio. Also all of the movies, dates and characters played. He then gave his "critique" on each. I thought that was a bit much.
