Let me ask you a question.
Have you met your soulmate?
I did, then promptly lost her. Because what happens in Vegas stays there, right?
Wrong.
I’d never been the relationship type, but I’ve spent every spare second of the past twelve months wondering what if. What if I hadn’t slept through my alarm? What if I hadn’t lost her number? What if I’d known her name?
But I came up blank.
That was until I found her. Emerson Reeves. My forever. Giving me the answers to all my questions.
What happened in Vegas isn’t staying there this time.
This time, I’m not letting go.
And all bets are off.

Lulu started writing by accident, and somehow found herself stuck in a fictional world of ice hockey, baseball and billionaires. A world she has no plans to leave. She's the creator of The New York Players Series, The Tuesday Club Series, and The New York Lions - the worst team in the M.L.B.

More recently she's ventured across the Atlantic to where her latest novel is set - the beautiful cities of Oxford and Cambridge, and the annual rowing showdown on the River Thames.

She's a big fan of strong heroines, because those fierce alphas need someone to keep them in check. You'll find her navigating her way through Romance Land one HEA at a time, and trying to figure out the latest social media platform she needs to post to.

🟥🟥EDIT- I must be high when I wrote this review. I even forgot about it up till now but thanks to Lulu for pointing it out. Guys I am so sorry that I mixed things up. 😫 (HOW DO I KEEP DOING THIS IN MY OLD REVIEWS!)😭😭

😕Are you comedy me?

✅The H is a HOCKEY player , and a real life manho too.
✅He doesn't do relationships and likes to keep it casual.
✅He meets Emerson in Vegas and they have a ONS.
✅For the first time in his life he THINKS ABOUT GOING STEADY.
✅But the next morning he wakes up and the h is gone.
✅For 12 months , there is no sign of her, he is deeply disappointed because she is the best he's ever had.
✅🙄THE HEROINE IS NOT CELIBATE.🙂-Cliché.
✅HE IS CELIBATE- Double Cliché

❎Still a BIG NO for me because I like reading books where they both are celibate.

why did i avoid this author for so long? her books are GREAT!

this is labeled as a second chance romance but for me, a second chance is only when they broke up and now are trying to get back, this couple their problem was bad luck.
after 9 months (i think), they met again and this time Drew is not letting her go.

if you want a romance with a hero that is completely in love with the heroine from the start, try this one. this book feels so short, is amazing!

Infinity stars for this book

This book had my heart from the prologue!!!

Drew and Emerson met in Vegas and shared one night, then lost contact with each other. But Drew couldn’t get her out of his head. He pined after her for a year, wondering if the universe would ever let him find her again. And when he does? He plans on never letting her go.
Emerson has just moved to New York and is working in a fitness studio, when to her surprise who shows up to her cycling class but the guy she spent one night with in Vegas that she never forgot. Is the universe finally saying it’s their time?

This book has me squealing and kicking my feet the entire time!!! I loved every single part of it. I loved we got to see more into Drew and Freddie’s friendship. How Drew loved emerson so fiercely? It had me melting! I loved that Drew got one glimpse of Emerson a year after he first met her and refused to let her get away again.

This is a book I know I will reread over and over. So incredibly good.

Book tropes:
Second chance
One night stand
No third act breakup
Cinnamon roll MMC

Oh Drew 💙
Jasper is a very close second but Drew totally has my heart. He is everything!

I loved this story- how they’d both felt about their missed chance, how they’d pined for each other from afar and how the universe then intervened to bring them back together. Emerson was a really likeable character, really committed to her career, she fit in so well with the rest of the group and was perfect for Drew.

Always great to see the other characters in this series too- I love how interconnected their stories are.
No review of this book would be complete without a mention of Emerson’s big brother- a star born out of this book, can’t wait for his story!

This is another of Lulu’s books that really stuck with me and I have reread a few times- one of my comfort reads for sure.

I read this one on release day so enjoyed going back and reading their first meeting in the novella Lulu released later, but if you’re reading for the first time now I’d suggest checking out the novella first.

“You like that, baby?” His teeth gritted as he continued his measured rhythm, never picking up the pace. “You’d better, because you’re mine Emerson, and this is the only cock you’ll ever have for the rest of your life.” I tried to speak but nothing appeared, he’d stolen my speech. “My mouth will be the only mouth you’ll ever feel, on your perfect nipples, on your clit, in your pussy. Mine.”

If you are looking for a book that will swoon you, give you sexy vibes and love at first one night stand in Vegas, then you found your book. This is my first read by Lulu and I enjoyed it. The main character Drew was a dreamboat and you are going to absolutely love him.

Emerson and Drew are so sickly cute together, I actually felt like a third wheel. The love and the bond they shared together was just gorgeous and so super-sexy that I felt like I had to leave them alone to 'get a room'. Meeting by chance in Vegas one night, losing contact and then meeting up again 12 months later had 'fate' written all over it.

While this book is sweet and super swoony, it's also sexy and delicious. Drew, being a hockey player works out constantly so he is built as big as a door, has muscles in all the right places and oh boy, does he know his way around women. Sex with him is off the charts hot, especially in the shower. He doesn't just make love, he f@cks hard and I loved it!

I really loved how Drew was the ultimate book boyfriend. He showed Emerson how it is to have a tentative man in her life and her future who loves and protects her. He made her feel safe and cherished and wasn't afraid to show his love for her.

Set in the POV of both characters, nice short chapters and I especially loved the epilogue and where their life was headed.

This is story about girl nicknamed Lucky . Her VSG lost her number and he was sad until Freddie and Wolf found her. This gave them a second chance. This series so much fun! I loved Emerson and Jupiter dynamic I can’t wait for his story!

Drew by Lulu Moore
Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (more if I could)
Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️

Oh. My. God. I have said this before but Lulu Moore writes the best men. Drew is just… no words. He is amazing. I did not think I could love a hockey player more than Jasper but well Drew is my number one.

The way he is just heads over heels for Emerson and how he waits basically a year for not even knowing her name or if he will ever see her again.

Drew bumps into Emerson at a bachelor party in Vegas and immediately knows she was meant for him and is his lucky charm 🍀. After a hot and steamy night (highly recommended getting the extended prologue 🥵) they make plans to meet up later before he leaves. He still doesn’t know her name but she promises that when they meet for lunch that she’ll tell him. She writes her number on his arm and then takes off. He falls asleep but when he wakes up he realizes that her number has rubbed off and he slept through his alarm and it’s time to leave. He tried to find her but has no luck.

A year later he’s still thinking about his lucky charm and somehow fate brings them back together in NYC when his playmates/friends wives run into her at their spin class. They of course know who she is because Luck is Drew’s Lock Screen.

Now it’s Drew’s mission to land his lucky charm and make her his forever 🍀 🩷

Emerson moved to NYC nine months ago to be with her (cheating) boyfriend to try and make a fresh start together. Well jokes on her she caught him cheating again right after moving. Now she’s focusing on herself while working as a spin instructor with dreams of one day opening up her own fitness studio. Little did she know that by picking up a class for one of the instructors who fell sick would end up to eventually running into her “VSG” again.

Drew and Emerson chemistry is off the charts from the start. I’ve never rooted for a couple more. I was even crying with Drew at the end of the book

If you like hockey romances and men who are head over heels for the FMC, you’ll love Drew.

Now please excuse me while I go read Felix 🩷😜

#drew is the third book in a #newyorkplayedsnovel series by @lulumoorebooks what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas. Unless it’s your heart.

Drew is sweet, sensitive, a former player and totally friggin heart broken. He met someone while on a bachelor party in Vegas for a one night stand. But he knew right then and there one night wouldn’t be enough. The next morning she was gone, and he didn’t know her name nor her number. So he did what any player would do, try to cover the broken thoughts with sex. Until it wasn’t enough. But by the graces of god, his female best friends stumble upon a spin instructor who seems oddly familiar. Is fate and luck on his side?

Emerson is dedicated, strong and sick of being treated like crap over a guy who’s totally not worth it. She now finds herself single and in New York finally doing what she wants. But her thoughts are never too far from the sex god she met in Vegas. But fate does what it wants and this guy is spinning back into her life. But is she ready for this whirlwind fairytale?

DREW. MF. CROWLEY. Where the hell are you hiding!? Hot, sweet, sensitive, protective, amazing and a professional athlete. What person on earth wouldn’t want to come home to that every night?

As much as I loved his character, there’s still something about Cooper that draws me to him. But I have a feeling Felix is going to blow this out of the water! Can’t wait for his book. And **cough cough** when we getting a Jupiter book!?

I was in a major book slump last week and I knew without a doubt the only book that would get me out of it was the next New York Players book by my girl, Lulu.
I've loved each installment so far and Drew was no exception. He and Emerson met a year prior In Las Vegas but through a series of events, lost contact. Drew spent the year moping around and wishing he could see her again and then finally, fate intervenes.
Emerson is a kickass fitness instructor who recently had her heart broken by her cheating ex. She's scared of getting hurt again but ultimately, knows Drew is her soulmate.
Drew is the biggest cinnamon roll of a man. He is absolutely made of cinnamon sugar and full of joy. All he wants is to see Emerson again. This book has one of my favorite tropes which is the "I haven't been with anyone since we met" perfection.
Lulu writes such good MCs. You can't help but root for them. This plot line has very little drama and what drama there is comes from a third party, which I love. If you're looking for a story that gives you a tooth ache from the sweetness, look no further.

I absolutely love Lulu’s hockey world and I have a little bit of an obsession with her team playing mine 😂😂
Anyway, I thought Coop had stolen my heart in book 2 but Drew has just blown him out of the water - sorry dude.
We started Drew’s story in book 2 when he had a one night stand in Las Vegas where he thought he’d met the woman of his dreams. However, a smudged phone number means he’s spent the last year in a fruitless search for her.
A chance encounter at a spinning studio sets up a love story of epic proportions. A hero who is so full of love I struggled to breath sometimes, he’s breathtakingly gorgeous.
And a heroine who fits into this world perfectly.
There’s plenty of hilarity, bromances and the chance to catch up with your favourite characters from previous books.
I can’t wait for the next book and I’m just saying I need to read more about Jupiter Reeves - he needs a book and a woman to ruin him 😂😂

Reread in audio Aug 2025 - this book makes me happy

Original Review:

This series just gets better & better! I’m so in love with all of these characters. No wonder I loved The Secret so much… These NY Players are a fantastic buildup.

Below are a few of my favorite things about the book:

-Drew (VSG): He is so dreamy (he’s all in with Emerson from the start & I absolutely loved it)
-Emerson (Luck): I want to be friends with her (I would probably even let her talk me into working out)
-Supporting Cast: Jasper & Wolfie, Coop & Freddie, Felix, Molly & more new faces
-Steamy scenes: post game & shower
-Sweet scenes: the fishing village, all the times they reassure each other of their feelings
-Jupiter: Emerson’s bad boy baseball playing brother - Lulu did confirm he will get a book at some point & I am here for it. You’ll know when it happens because I will be screaming it from the rooftops.

Highly recommend it. Available in KU.

This wasn’t my favorite in the series (that honor goes to Cooper), but this was a close second. Things I loved:
1. The FMC is tall! It is so refreshing to read a story where is isn’t a huge man and tiny woman.
2. The FMC is fit, intelligent, and ambitious. Tired of heroines who hate exercise and just lounge all day.
3. No third act break up. The drama was external to the couple, which was refreshing!

The things I wasn’t as keen on:
1. Drew was a tad too perfect.
2. The couple got together early so it dragged a little in the middle.

Rounding down a bit from the 4.25 stars I wish I could give.

I absolutely love Drew! He is such a loving protective guy who is also a big softie for those he loves. Emerson is a strong, independent women who falls hard and fast for the hunky hockey player. I truly enjoyed reading about their relationship. The author did an amazing job incorporating the secondary characters into the story with their own personality quirks. I always like a good sports romance and had fun reading a little about the hockey world. This was such a well done story with plenty of ups and downs. I highly reccomend this HEA romance and can't wait to read Felix's story next!

This book was definitely different from the majority I’ve read by lulu Moore/read in general because they were together for most of the book and there was no real conflict between the two of them at the end. I couldn’t do this for every book but it was a nice change of pace. Insane smut scenes and so many.

DNF @ 12% - I think this heroine is too old for me (28). She’s been around the block too many times. Too confident, too together… the H isn’t aggressive enough. Too insecure and unsure. Meh.

Ahhh Lulu Moore I like what you did here. You gave us Jasper, the persistent good guy. The one that was willing to wait. The one that took it slow.
Then you gave us Cooper ‘effin Marks. The broody, alpha one. The one that made your panties melt in an instant and has a dirty mind and a very good idea of what hot sex looks like.
Then you gave us Drew. The Vegas Sex God. The one that had pined for the girl he let slip through his fingers. The one that had to wait for fate to intervene. The one that has passionate welcome home sex. Swoon

Now Drew and Emerson. They were cute, energetic and jeez the sex … where do I find me a hockey player people?? WHERE??

This was yet another fabulous story where the gang is all back together. After a chance meeting in Vegas. A hot night and a lost phone number, Drew has been pining over the one that got away. Until He finds out she’s been closer than he thought.

Emerson has a crappy ex ( my favourite kind!) a job she loves. But she always wonders about her Vegas Sex God that she spent an amazing night with and who left her high and dry the next day.

If you’ve never read a Lulu Moore book May I suggest you start. Like now. God same she writes a good story! All her characters are fully developed, the stories of each one weaves its way through the others. You never have to worry about not knowing about their lives before and after their own stories. And I’m a sucker for well rounded side characters. The guys are hot and have substance, the women are strong with a sturdy backbone! Hoorah ~ no wet lettuces

I absolutely love all the New York Players but my heart still belongs to Cooper. Until Felix that is. I have high hopes for that big ol’ manwhore!!!

It’s official, Drew is my new favourite MMC of the series! 😍 I’ve been so excited for his book since we got that snippet of him looking for Lucky after Vegas in Cooper’s book, and it was everything I hoped for! 🥹

Drew was such a sweetheart and I loved how in touch with his emotions he was! Every time he cried I just wanted to give him a hug 🥹 He was so intentional and honest with Emerson and once he found her there was no way he was letting her go again. He was loving and protective of Emerson, but also of his friends. I loved how he stood up for Felix too!

Emerson was such a fun FMC! She wasn’t phased by the sports fame because she was used to it with her brother. (I loved the Jupiter cameos because I read these series out of order 🤭) She was a tough cookie and I laughed when she pushed the tough-macho-guys to their limits in her spinning classes 😂 She was so mature and I thought her relationship with Drew was so healthy!

This was such a beautiful Second Chance Romance where what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas 🤭 As usual, I loved how much of a family all the hockey guys are and the way they support one another. Also seeing them all interact with Flossie was so darn cute!! 🥰 This was definitely my favourite book of the series so far, but I’m so excited to read Felix and Molly’s book next! 😍

Tropes:
- Hockey Romance
- Second Chance Romance
- What Happens In Vegas Doesn’t Stay In Vegas
- Found Family
- Protective Hero
- Reformed Playboy
- Mutual Pining

Drew, you’re my favorite. So sweet! I adore that he couldn’t be without Emerson and how they find each other through “luck”. The best part of this series is how all of these men’s stories feel completely different even though their personalities share so many similarities. Each book is unique.

Also, I NEED a book on Jupiter. I know that tattooed man will fall hard.

I genuinely don't even know where to start. This series has captured my heart. First Jasper, then Cooper, and now Drew. These men have left me begging for more.

Drew and Lucky's (Emerson) story differs from both Jasper and Cooper in the fact it wasn't a slow burn nor a hot out-of-the-gate love affair. Their tale reads about the one that got away; the Vegas Sex God and his sexy little temptress, but then fate - in the form of one Miss. Wolfie & one little Miss. Frankie, and their crazy chance encounter in a spin studio - stepped in, and a once shared flame ignited in a Vegas hotel room a year prior decided to burn bright once again.

I loved everything about Drew and Lucky. Their relationship was something for the books. It was passionate, it was sweet, it was HOT, it was romantic, it was sexy, but most of all, it was inevitable. Drew was captivated with Lucky and she with him. It truly was written about that one GREAT LOVE, if you will; time held no merit, it was always to be forever bound. It was as if, it was destined in the stars.

"She was like a rainbow after a storm, warmth radiating out of her, hitting me square in the chest."

There are some circumstances within the book that both Drew and Lucky had to overcome but honestly, you don't really put too much weight on them, or at least I didn't find I did anyways. Maybe because I knew their relationship was so willed that the trouble that did arise wasn't really heavy. Maybe too because the trouble that did come was either typical drama brought on by thirsty individuals who bragged about having a slice of a professional athlete or the typical clinger who wanted the benefits of knowing a professional athlete and what that athlete could do for his/her career.

God this book was so damn good. Actually NO, this entire series was EPIC!

If you haven't already read it, what the heck are you waiting for? Go get it. This is one of the best sports romances I have ever read.

Can't wait to read Felix and Molly's story and also maybe a spinoff for Jupitar, Murray, and Tate? Please, Lulu!!! I'm not above begging! lol, I'm dying here!!

I dropped some of my favourite quotes below: Check them out, the lady can write!

"You're right, we have this insane chemistry. I've never felt it before or since. Finding you again has been all I've wished for, so yes I want to date you, but I also want to do all the bits in between. I want to know everything about you."

"My heart was freefalling with such an overwhelming sense of completeness it made me dizzy. I was home."

"It was official. He had completely ruined me."

"You're my person, Emerson. My future."

"He was my best friend. My person. The one I wanted to see at the beginning and end of every day. And if I had to go through a shit storm, I didn't want to do it with anyone else."

"My future, carrying our future."

Note: there is also this really beautiful passage in Chapter 9 where Lulu credits athletes in the accomplishments they make outside of the game. I think this is so important to recognize. I grew up surrounded by athletes and sometimes I think people were more curious to see what they could do with a stick and a puck, but never towards the importance of the smile they could bring to little fans' faces. My mom always used to say accomplishments aren't always made on the ice. That stuck with us, six kids. Good job here Lulu!

They shared an incredible night in Vegas and he has been trying to find her ever since.

Drew Crawley is a professional hockey player and his best friends are his teammates. He is happy to see two of his teammates fall in love and makes no secret that he wants to find a woman he met while in Vegas for a bachelor party. All he has is a picture in his phone of the woman he nicknamed "Lucky" and a memory that he refuses to forget.

Emerson Reeves is a fitness instructor that is trying to separate herself from a toxic ex-boyfriend. She moved to New York from the West Coast and is determined to be a personal trainer with her own studio one day. In one of her classes she meets two fun women that are extremely pregnant. A few days after she meets them, they return but this time with several handsome men who stand out because of their size and attractiveness. She doesn't think much of it because her own brother is a professional athlete until one of the men quietly approaches her and brings with him a beautiful memory.

Drew cannot believe he found her. He has been remembering this amazing woman and hasn't been able to be with any woman since. He has no doubt she is his soulmate and he has been struggling for almost a year wondering if he would ever find her. Only to realize she has been living in his city for several months. His plan is to ask her on a proper date and take things slow but at the same time he is elated he finally found her.

Emerson accepts Drew's request for a date. She was completely swept away by Drew in Vegas but didn't think she would ever see him again. Now he lives in her city and wants to date her feels like a dream come true.

Dual POV, second chance romance, so much smut.

I am pleased to confess I did like this story but mainly because most of the storyline is the MCs just being happy together. Yes, a lot of that time is spent in bed, but it's still them getting to know each other and developing their relationship. Outside challenges arise that threaten their happiness but never their relationship (see also, no third act breakup). Drew is a former man-wh*re with a sweet heart that turns into a golden retriever that just wants to be with his girl forever. Emerson is interesting but only when read from Drew's perspective. Her POV is a bit one dimensional. I loved the excitement of Drew finding her and her responding to his excitement. There are no games between them, they are both all in. There are a lot of love scenes in this book. Sweet HEA and Epilogue.

Drew mf Crawlay. The sweetest Cry baby on earth. Let me tell you this man was whipped from the very beginning. It’s the little things he did for her like for example he went for a run with her at the crack of dawn. Or when they had 2 dates in one day. He only had eyes for her. Even when they didn’t see each other for a year he only thought of her. I loved that he always communicated with her no matter what the issue was. Oh and how he wanted to walk her to work because Jas did it with Wolfie Hilarious. Oh or when he took her backpack and slung it over his shoulder 🦋. AND when he fighter with Felix on who is gonna be The Godfather to Flossie(THAT NICKNAME THO😭) Felix and Drew have such a special friendship. When Felix got injured by this dick who almost ended his Hockey career, Drew cried.
Em was the sweetest. She did have a shit ex boyfriend. That dick. The way they loved each other was insane. I can’t describe it but it’s so pure and real and perfect. Why do these people only exist in books?
THE EPILOGUE???!!!!????????!!!!! AHHHHHHH SO EXIDED 🤰🏻=👶🏼👶🏼.
Drew and Em really were made for each other.

Amazing book 3

I am loving this series

We got the backstory of Drew's night in Vegas in Coppers book! Drew met Emmerson in Vegas during Jasper's bachelor vacation! They lost touch and Drew has been thinking about her ever since.... Then one day she appears and Drew is determined to lock her down!

This series really hits me in the feels. I am in love with characters and laugh out loud at their banter and interactions.
Lulu Moore strikes the perfect balance of funny and sweet and throws in a little bit of angst just to keep things interesting.

Stories are well written and the characters are developed beautifully. I dont know if the author is British or American but her use of British slang is spot on, then she throws in some British sarcasm and it's just perfection.

I love the Rangers boys but the female relationships and friendships are what makes this series stand out for me. I have a feeling we will be finding out more about a Ranger and a certain player's sister soon... and I'm here for it!I

Love love love!!!!! 5 stars all day long!

This book was smoking hot.

I've been to a spin class. Let me reiterate, I went to a 7:00am spin class and never returned - so I can say that it is definitely not my type of exercise and I almost shuddered at the thought of that idea.

Drew wasn't like the typical male leads that are prominent in this genre. He was literally the antithesis, he doted on Emerson and was the most caring and mindful boyfriend towards her as well as seeing his relationship with Wolfie and Freddie was super endearing.

I knocked a few stars down as I would have loved to read a flashback or an excerpt of the events that happened in Vegas. It would of added more depth and it would have been great to see the start of the relationship build. The ending was rushed, I felt like I was missing a few pages as it ended it erratically I was like wait what... is that it.
