5 stars - Contemporary Romance/Erotica

Touch Me is the third book in Susan Lyons’ Awesome Foursome contemporary erotica series that focuses on the sex and love lives of four very different women friends living in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Touch Me centers on uptight, stressed-out, workaholic, high-powered lawyer Ann’s deep and sensual relationship with Greek-god, masseuse Adonis. Adonis teaches Ann about tantric sex, savoring life’s pleasures, living in the moment, and of course, love. This was definitely my favorite of the series, and Adonis is simply delicious. The Awesome Foursome is a great contemporary romantica series!

Ann Montgomery has not been with a guy in a really long time. She has forgotten how to let lose and live by the moment. That all changes when one of her three best friends gives her a voucher to get a massage done at Pure Indulgence.

Adonis, her massage therapist has a body like a Greek god and he just may be what the doctor ordered. The more time Ann spends with Adonis the more he helps her slowly unleash her wild side.

Adonis teaches her that the best love making doesn’t always happen in one night but over a period of several long nights.

Be warned this is a hot book. This book is part of a series but you don't have to read any of the books in order to enjoy it or any of the other books by Susan Lyons.

Another great book in the Awesome Foursome series. Ann felt like such a real character with very real issues it was easy to connect. I did feel the hero was a little too young by age for what I typically read about, but how he comes across is as being older and more mature. And he was definitely sexy! All in all, an excellent read.

If not for the main characters first (very hot!)encounter, I would have only given it one star. What I found extremely irritating was the heroines controlling mothers very critical voice that spoke to her throughout the entire book...it was like something right out of "Psycho"

Wow. Ms. Lyons packed quite a lot into this story. Ann Montgomery is an uptight, driven, career-minded lawyer on the fast track, working so intensely that her body is paying the price--muscle pain, headaches, jaw pain among other problems. Her one outlet is her three friends--together they are the Awesome Foursome, and they meet once a week over a meal to catch up and talk and encourage each other. One of them suggests that she try a local spa, known for their masseurs.

Adonis Stefanakis is one of those massage therapists. Both of them feel the spark of attraction at their first appointment and are discomfited. Ann uncharacteristically presses him to act on it, and he knows he cannot within the bounds of their working relationship. So, she fires him :)

From there, they go on to explore a relationship, Ann far more cautiously than Adonis. She's grown up with her fiercely independent and ultra successful mother pushing her to be and do her best; she's never felt able to relax or take time for anything other than such single-minded pursuit of her career goal.

I admit that I felt very hard pressed to relate to Ann, but Ms. Lyons does let us into her heart and thoughts fairly well, and it is a joy to see Ann's slow blossoming under Adonis's warm care. They both come to see how well suited they can be for each other, and it's a well-deserved happy ending to enjoy reading.

I'm giving this four stars, because Adonis is pretty much my model hero- beta, blond, working half-time to have more time for all the wonderful things besides work, mature, gentle, not keen on owning things, not ambitious...he's perfect. I loved him.
I hated Ann at the beginning- the way she used him to get what SHE needed was...somehow disgusting for me. Yeah, I know, she had a pretty cold childhood, but the way she treated Adonis was so mean I couldn't forgive her for quite a while. Rolling her eyes over the way he likes to get it on between the sheets while she wants to control every second of it? Sorry, I didn't like that at all. It was condescending and arrogant.
I could understand why she considered the lawyer-guy from her firm as a lover, but I hated it nonetheless. And it's true: a guy who gets a divorce because he fell in love with another woman- that's a difficult starting point in my opinion.
I liked her far better at the end, though, when she told David she didn't want to get together with him before she knew that Adonis would stay in Vancouver for her- that seemed pretty straight-forward and made her a whole lot more sympathetic.
Four stars- because Adonis was just too sweet!

Mini Review: Good life lessons learned through this story, but not preached. As they figure it out, you do too. With a new outlook, love is understood and the bite of expectations dulled.
