The short story is I was born in Toronto, Canada. When I was 16, my family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and that is where I met my wife, Bev.
We've been married for 43 years and share our home in Southwest Missouri with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 8 chickens, a herd of goats. We have 3 sons and 12 grandchildren that keep us hopping.
I've been known to ride my motorcycle in nice weather, play golf in nice weather, and tend my garden in nice weather. In bad weather, I prefer to stay inside. :)
Thanks to the support of you, our readers, I've been able to devote full time to my writing. Bev does our cover designs.

This is another good book from this author. Clean meaning no foul language or excessive sex descriptions etc. Nice to read a book like this. The story was like his other short stories, interesting characters and the detective in it continues to do a good job and the election of the sheriff has been completed and his best friend was elected again. If you have been reading the series you will know what I mean. I don't like to give away too much on the stories since it is best for you to find out for yourself and enjoy it much more. Read the reviews for general information and how many liked or loved the book vs dislike. The Detective is Dan Cutter and he has partner, Liz. The like among other things to eat at a lot of different places while investigating the crimes. I like to do that myself although lately watching my weight they do not seem too worried about that. lol. Anyway I recommend this book to anyone wanting a good story and entertainment and clean writing too. I hope this review helps you decide to give it a try. Wish you Peace.
John Dalglish has many other books and is a Christian writer but these books are not about God but crime solving and entertainment. One of the other series he writes and is a favorite is the "City Murders" series which takes place in different cities all over the usa and maybe later will include other countries? But the stories in that series are different detectives and cases every time. So no regular same ol Detective doing the same things. I think that makes this series really good and offers a variety of characters that change every book.

This small county sheriff's office seems to have no problem getting phone records almost immediately! It does help to move the pace along for finding the killer/s.

I like the characters, I like how most people are cooperative, and boy, do Liz and Dan enjoy eating!

I DO like these books, but the editing/proofreading needs tightening up.

"The biggest thing about the SUV, other than the missing plates..." Not a biggie, but nothing was said prior to this that the plates were missing. I would have said, "other than that the car was missing the license plates"

"...they've dragged you into a murder wrap..." Are they wrapping up the murder? Should be "rap."

"Next, I considered calling Mr. Beck's sister Grace." His sister is named Erica. His daughter is named Grace.

"Sarah Beck was on the phone with her daughter-in-law or Tommy's sister." It's her step- daughter.

"Hi, Mrs. Beck." This refers to Grace. She's not married. She did take her maiden name, Beck, back, but still not Mrs.

"Is there someone you think might have had it out your dad?" Needs "with" after out.

And why, oh why, hasn't Dan registered to vote? He's been in the county for at least a year. His best friend is running for sheriff in his first contested election out of four.

Great series

I love the Stone County Series. I recognize all the places mentioned in the book as I live in nearby Greene County. I have met and known Lisa Rose for years. She is truly a nice person and a favorite on KY3.

Great clean literature

I love these books by John Dalglish. It is so nice to be able to pick up a book and you know there’s not gonna be any customers there’s not gonna be any sex or it’s just a clean great mystery I totally recommend all of his books.

Great reads

I have really enjoyed all four books in this series. I like the way this author writes and the characters are so relatable, they feel like friends.

A well liked man found dead turs out to be murdered.

Dan has the job of finding the person who was hiding in the shower. Joe is running for re-election and it's anyone's guess who will win .
