Nice book for an area of history I have little knowledge. Slow to start, the middle section is worth it.

Thoroughly enjoyable sage of the Reconquista.

One thing I found hard getting my head round was how the def mute characters were able to communicate every little thought through sign langueage but that apart, excellent novel.
