Bombshell revelations in the bowels of Russia…

FROM MILLION COPY BESTSELLER MATT ROGERS

COMES THE MIND-BLOWING NEXT ENTRY IN THE DANTE SAGA

Attempting to infiltrate a shadowy private military company, an old foe of Dante Jacoby’s dies spectacularly in Saint Petersburg. The CIA asset takes a whole cadre of mercenaries with him to the grave.

At risk of humiliation, the Kremlin prefers to suppress what happened, rather than admit a sole U.S. operative slaughtered nearly a dozen of their own. Dante himself is that is until he gets in a war of his own in sun-soaked Santa Cruz, aligning two separate worlds through sheer bad luck.

Snatched by mysterious forces, he soon learns of Ogon Group, a private army so secret and savage they effectively operate as their own rogue state. The Kremlin utilises their services, sure, but their sadistic leader, Luka Smirnov, serves only himself.

Then a dark personal discovery about Ogon flips Dante’s world on its head. Sporting the flimsiest of cover stories and possessed by a burning desire for the truth, he heads into the cold to do what the previous asset couldn’t.

Compared to this mission, what he’s done before is child’s play…

If there were a sixth star and a plus to add to this rating, I would certainly do so... This author joins Robert Ludlum, the late Vince Flynn, David Hagberg, Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, Brad Thor, Robert Maxim, and other notables (IMHO) as one of the greatest authors of this genre and able to make it all totally believable while intensely engaging, exciting and real.My late husband, who was an officer in the Army with Delta Project in the Vietnam era, said this is an author who is well advised and very gifted in his ability to make the total unreality of this way of life believable....I will read all Mr. Rogers writes as long as I remain alive to do so! Conspiracies, (national, international, and criminal ) as well as lies within lies, interspersed with a few truths for interest and variety, his novels have it all! Bravo, yet again!

A tad contrived, but good

Too .any coincidences in the first third of the book make the whole concept feel too contrived to be "believable" however once you get past that, it's a good story, with a few twists
The first third of the book is still enjoyable, Dante looking out for those he cares for and righting wrongs
The rest of the book is spent with Dante trying to bring down a Russian paramilitary organization and learn some truths about his past
The government wants part of the action, which Dante refuses, yet they still pull stings to help him, even though he allegedly doesn't want it. Good job they do too
No new book yet after this one and it's 2025, so hopefully something soon. I'll be one of the first in the queue

Excellent series!

It took me a while to figure out the author was not American because of the spellings of several words and the use of others. This does not diminish the talent taken to write this series!
Excellent plot lines, absolutely great characters and a wonderful addition of a SN man. I will definitely be looking into his other works.
The action in this series is superb. With all the headlines now concerning AI, this is a shining example of its possibilities.
