As someone who lives in Winnipeg and worked in community development for many years, this is a captivating read. I learned a lot about who came before the Indigenous activists I'm aware of, and how community development is often cumulative with one initiative building on the last. The breadth of accomplishments by Indigenous activists in Winnipeg over the years is truly astonishing.
