Even the Queen loves a Hermès Scarf!

This a beautiful little book of facts and stunning photos and I really enjoyed looking through it.

As much as I would love a Birkin or Kelly Bag, for now I will stick with the delicious Eau d’Orange Verte Toiletries Range 🍊 which I became addicted to after staying at the Sofitel at London Gatwick!

2.5 stars. I learned about the designers of the RTW collections and the styles they introduced. Everything else I’ve heard before. This would be a great quick overview for someone that is not familiar with Hermes
Or the history of it. Not necessarily someone who has read a lot about it and seen a documentary on their background.
It was very repetitive. If I wanted to go back and count, I’d probably find it mentioned five times that the Birkin was named after Jane Birkin, and at least a couple times the Kelly bag’s history. There were a few other things repeated but I don’t recall them all.
It was a quick easy read. I read it one sitting.

Para lo poco que conozco Hermès, I'm kind of amazed at the way Karen Homer y el traductor Antonio Díaz Pérez manage to convey tradition and personality. Se ha hecho un trabajo muy cuidado en el afán de presentar lo que hace a Hermès único and I think we need more of that uniqueness.

Para alguien que es más letras que moda, el lujo esta en encontrar tus raíces, amarlas y verlas trascender.

At least that's what this shade of orange is going to remind me from now on.

I love the definition of true luxury in this book. When the product is as expensive as a Hermès, then it better be for longevity wherein longevity is not about being classic but about designs that are modern and forever relevant with a keen sense of craftsmanship and quality to last a lifetime!

The history of Hermès house is fascinating on its own. Completed with photographs and detailed descriptions, this little book makes a perfect introduction into the world of the luxury brand. The writing is a tad repetitive, though it does not diminish the value of the book and the history of the fashion house.
