Protect the women. Take the throne. Sire the next generation.
Awaking on the shores of a primitive world, David discovers a remote village populated almost entirely by women.
Powerful witches have killed the men, destroying their tribal society. The women have little defense against the wild beasts and opportunistic goblin slavers who roam their forests.
With a mysterious new power raging in his muscles, David becomes their guardian, provider, and leader. Beautiful women flock to him, believing he was sent by a sky god to protect them, impregnate them, and repopulate their dying village.
But it’s only a matter of time before the witches come for David. To defeat them, he will have to bind the souls of 12 maidens, unlocking elemental magic powers and reuniting the gods of Eternal Masculine and Feminine.
This is a light slice-of-life adventure with cat girls, goblin girls, tribal babes, kitsune, and other monster girls.
I wanted to rate this series lower than 4 stars, but I decided against it. The series did entertain me enough to a point that swayed my decision to lower the rating. Now, this is the first time I’ve read anything by this author and after this series I’m inclined towards reading another offering from Kilgore… let’s do the positives first. The world building was fairly decent. The characters were very likeable and the villains were decent. The fight scenes and David trying to figure his magic out I thought was okay as well. Now, some negatives… my biggest gripe revolves around sheer idiocy and stupidity of David and some of the core females. I liked Fiz as a character but it seems sometimes she had the mentality of a small child, which makes it kind of weird that she was a harem member… the amount of times she showed herself stressing David out and even going so far as to actually be seen and have consequences ensue. (GOOD READS YOU GUYS SUCK WITH THE CRASHING OF THE APP MID REVIEW) Back to what I was saying. Also David’s idiocy… a GOD told him to bind the 12… he’s had conversations with that god, heard the stories about the 12, readily accepted the power and magic granted to him by the same gods telling him what to do and what does he do? DRAG HIS FEET! He was too busy with foolish things instead of just binding the 12… granted two of the 12 didn’t fall into his clutches til the end but he had one of those in his village and let her go….even when he knew she felt differently. Also I’m not a fan of bedroom play that revolves around S&M (to each their own, I don’t judge) and especially the calling of the women degrading names while mid coitus and the women get off on it. 🤷🏽♂️ I just don’t get it, also I’m not a prude at all. I love women, I love sex… but I’ve never met a woman with this kind of kink…. Maybe they exist or is it just some guy fantasy? Who knows. Also I didn’t care for the ending.. for one it was very rushed, then the epilogue did give us enough. I think the book could have easily been tidied up with another chapter or two just talking about how David came back and his new women integrated into village life as well as a reunion with characters we fell in love with during the course of the series. Who wouldn’t want to see milana reunite with David? Or even her grow up some into her teenage years with so many different siblings. It would have been remarkably glorious. But nope, didn’t get it. Too many authors take this easy way out and just be like yeah they lived happily ever after etc… one major thing I liked David gave the men and women a constitution and included the right to bear arms. YESSSSSSSS! Being a far right firm believer in 2a I applaud this and added that extra star to my rating. Well done! Like I said, I would read more from this author. I wish authors read these reviews and work on how to properly give the readers closure. It’s truly one of the ways that makes a good author excel to greatness and I guarantee the readers would appreciate you more for it. After all, I leave these reviews to help authors because they’re job is hard and it’s a tribute and thanks to them because they let me escape into their worlds and give me a reprieve from the stress that’s constantly on my plate. So bravo and thank you. On to the next book. Onward lads!
This book was a mess and very obviously written by a man, for a man. I wasn't expecting anything from the book so color me shocked when what could've been a good plot was ruined by pure foolery and idiocy. If this is what a man is fantasizing about someone send help. The women were idiots who the moment a big, strong man appeared they lost the ability to think without him around to help.
Excellent story from start to finish! Honestly, I am a big fan of omnibus books as I like my stories to be complete, I will binge read the hell out of a series so these are perfect. This story was very good with overall character progression and a perfect ending. I look forward to the authors other works.
MC is a moron, many of the characters are crazy, the main woman the MC is with so far is sex-crazed. What world building there's been so far also doesn't make much sense.
I enjoyed the story but can't give it five stars because there are some errors such as not putting quotation marks around some dialogue creating confusion
