"...the wealthiest place on the planet is not the gold mines, diamond mines, oil wells, or silver mines of the earth, but the cemetery. Why? Because buried in the graveyard are dreams and visions that were never fulfilled, books that were never written, paintings that were never painted, songs that were never sung, and ideas that died as ideas. What a tragedy, the wealth of the cemetery.
I wonder how many thousands, perhaps millions, of people will be poorer because they cannot benefit from the awesome wealth of the treasure of your potential: the books you have neglected to write, the songs you have failed to compose, or the inventions you continue to postpone. Perhaps there are millions who need the ministry or business you have yet to establish. You must maximize your life for the sake of the future. The next generation needs your potential."
(Myles Munroe, Maximizing Your Potential)

You are unique, original, and irreplaceable! You have potential that you don't know you have. The author defines potential as "The unexposed, untapped, hidden, dormant revelations that lay beneath the accumulated dust and grime of many years...strength and beauty that lay unmarred by the ravages of fire, wind, and water...The possibilities for rebuilding after years of destruction, decay, and neglect."

This book teaches why it's important to maximize your potential, how to become your potential, the enemies of your potential, and how to guard, protect, cultivate, feed, share your potential. It also teaches how your potential affects the next generation...

God has placed great potential in each one of us. We cannot fulfill our potential without knowing our purpose. Your purpose will reveal your potential. When we know and work on our purpose, our potential is unlimited. Remember, we are not waiting on God, He is waiting on us to get to work. Start working on your purpose today, as the author says, "Dreams without work accomplish nothing."

I was somewhat disappointed with this read. I have heard so many wonderful things about Dr Myles Monroe as a motivational speaker and as an author. Perhaps my expectations were too high? Don't get me wrong, there are wonderful pearls of wisdom in the book. It can definitely aide one in making life changes in the right direction. It was just too repetitive and over simplified for my taste.

I actually read this book shortly after I became a Christian. This book helped me to realize and understand the importance of our God given potential. What you are now doesn't limit what you can become in the future. Inside one seed contains the potential of a full forest.

Praise for the book 'Maximizing Your Potential Expended Edition'

This is a very motivational book, and it encourageous us to take up our responsibility to live aright what God has intended for each one of us. We have to find our God-given purpose here on earth and exposes our given potential, talents buried within the earthen vessel insides us for benefits of the human race.
The author also laid down details concepts of how to develop a conducive environment to the development and release of our potential.
This id definitely a recomended book for developing one"s potential and purpose instead of living meaninglessly on earth.

Love it

The comment about the devil and sin are not the problem but ignorance is. Rang big bells for me. Reading his book makes much sense to me. I have to get busy maximizing my potential. I do not want to dye with my potential not being used.

Myles Munroe exposes in this thrilling book how we ought to look inwards and commit to making full use of our God-given abilities. Step by step he shows the different areas, pitfalls, instructions, and values that we need to uphold if we are to give to this world everything God packaged inside of us. This book is cool!

I hate the so called inspirational speakers who speak out of their own blues. Dr. Myles is such a great speaker and author. He presents his message from the Kingdom perspective and that is why I love him.

I read this books many years ago. It is still simple and so relevant even for today. I remember the story of the cemetry being the wealthiest place in the world because that is where lies hidden all the potential of people who never got to live their dreams...

I Learnt Quite A Lot But The Main Thing I Grasp Is That Without The Full Use Of An Object Or A Thing (Using It Ability To The Max), You Are Undermining It Potential.
