This book is well laid out and easy to read with diagrams, floor plans, sketches, artwork of the periods, and photos to help you see exactly what is being discussed.

Artistic movements, social issues, commerce, and legislation are all discussed in relation to their effect on homes, building, styles, uses of rooms, layouts, etc.
